Okay, the cars front bumper is re-done because it got cracked along the bottom last year pulling out of a show. Now is my time to do anything I want to it. It just looks too open for me, since I cannot fit fog lights in due to intercooler piping issues. I thought about shaving the fog light holes and leaving the holes in the far sides of the bumper and also shaving the side of the widebody piece to make it completely smooth and flat. Do you guys have any other ideas of what I can do to make the front bumper look cleaner or anything?

And here is what John did with his side pieces of the widebody kit. He had them shaved all the way down and smoothed out completely:

Sorry for the sorry use of paint, but here is what I think, basicallt smooth it out, getting rid of the pretruding lip in the bottom, and the curves on the sides. Like an elongated 2gb I guess. I always thought our bumpers would have looked more agressive is they had a sharp edge at the bottom, makes it look "lower" than the gradual curving we have.



I just figured out that my idea is what the people making the widebody kits shouyld have done in the first place. They just added those sweeps to the sides of the OEM 2gb bumper and Voila! they made it "wider", since making an OEM looking 2gb 4in wider would hav been too much work.

That would look okay I guess, but that would be a TON of filler work to get that bumper squared away.

I'd say fill in the front a touch like ed suggested, smooth out the sides a bit till you get to the flares.

I like flares on 2g's

It doesnt have flares though.

Wow, no input yet. I really thought some guys would chime in on what they think a front bumper should/could look like.

I would just get rid of the foglight holes and leave the rest alone, now that looks mean!

For some reason it makes it look wider without the fog light holes.

I am thinking about shaving the fog lamp holes and then completely shaving the sides to where they are all the way smooth, and then towards the bottom of the side piece, maybe like 3/4 ways down, adding the factory 2gb side marker lenses. I think that might look semi okay. I just dont really like the sides how they are. They look real extreme and the rest of the car just kind of flows smoother now.

Do you guys think that would look cool with the 2gb side markers on the sides?

shave some off the bottom of the bumper and add a c/f lip to match the hood. i agree with shaving the sides off and fog lights. looks smoother.

2x on the shaving on the fog light holes Espically if you dont plan on using em ( If your not using em why keep the holes?) :)... It does give it a lot more shape and make it smoother... I dont know about shaving the sides tho, dont your side skirts have a similar style to the sides of the front of your bummper? If they do id leave em... I kind of like em

btw. Mike keep the markers off, I like it smoother the better.

The sides, eh not really. The sides actually look like blitz low skirts.

I dont have a c/f hood any more. I have a g-speed hood now.

I am second guessing the side markers now, although I think it would look cool, I think it might look out of place.

If I get a side pic of the bumper, could someone photoshop me the side all shaved with a side marker in it?

ok here is my idea you could consider
1.) Shave off the fog light holes - definetely looks much hawter without em there
2.) The front bumper and the sides dont really match well imo. There is a section on your front bumper that resembles gills on the part next to ur fender well.... I might consider *just brainstorming* to replicate the air vent in your side skirt in place of that "gill - looking" thing on both sides of ur bumper. Would a bit harder than just shaving it out, but I think it will doa really good job of tying in the sidesskirts with the front bumper
3.) If anything you do decide to shave the bumper, I would strongly consider shaving offf tha thing that looks like the top of a coke can which is in your front bumper. I dont really see where that fits in with the rest of the body of the car. Since you do have the advantage of having a glass kit ( I got urethane -boo for modding :( ) Definetely shave it off

After that I think it will look bad as fuk... Also dont put the side markers in, much better without... Ill try to get some photoshoping done... Maybe someone who is better at it can post something as well.. Meh, good luck and happy glassing :)

One more thing.
- Dont do the CF lip... I think it looks better without - In Case you were considering it. I dont like the CF lipz, or those canards, think it looks nice on a sleeper, but you got enough going on already. Love the color tho. Nice shade of blue. Bit too much fake for me tho. :) I think im gonna do candy apple orange before jan after i pull my motor. Bout to order my new motor :)

I dont understand what your saying about #2. Your saying to cut out the air vent looking thing on the side skirt and put some mesh grilled behind it? I cant exactly do that. I could cut it out, but i have no way or stuffing any grille back there since everything is molded together. I like the design of the skirts. I think I am just going to shave the fog lamp holes, completely shave the sides and put in stock side markers...if i just shaved the sides and let it be like that, i think that woould be TOO plain looking. 2g side markers are nice. Or I even wonder if there are any aftermarket inserts or anything that I could mold into the side of the bumper. I need to decide quickly though because this weekend its getting started.

Mike, i like the lip so leave that. Remove the fog light holes and smooth out the side flares but leave them so they flow into the fenders.

Wow luv the paint job Excellent work. You could take the Fog light Berzel from the stock bumper or other plastic fill in the FOG light Holes and the curves next them add some bondo and mold it over and sand smooth it out to look like It never came with Fog lights or hole insert curves. Sorry if I'm incorrect again but I think this is what you mean.

I would use the B2 Buddy Club front bumper which look almost like OEM.

I saw a Dark gray Carb color DSM which Spooled passed me on my to work Sunday. Luv the color but not bodykit I'm not bodykit guy prefer stock look with good paint job instead. Reason for this is because I'm from Ohio and its pot hole Heaven and the railroad crossings are just as bad?
