Yes, the OE side skirts would add great taste to your car. I'm actually thinking of taking this route because I am keeping my car clean without any body kits.

I have yet to see a really nice pair of side skirts that work well by themselves. (I'm not at all partial to kits) Keep the OEM look.

2ga or 2gb OEM sideskirts for the win. See Sig for details.

Those sideskirts are plastic. Two peices per skirt.
No welding.
Well, you could try welding them.... Just dont tell anyone that YOU did it or they'll smack the shit out of you for being a retard.
If you can't find a set, the buddy club series skirts look pretty good with a stock front and rear bumper.

Personally I like the 95-96 style OEM skirts because of the way that they cut up at the end. The 97-99 skirts are more square and drop down more. Either look good IMO, but please stick to OEM.
Now some advice on how to install OEM skirts on an RS.
I put 95 OEM sideskirts on my car w/o the door caps. Edxmon has 95 skirts on his car too I believe b/c he helped me when I was asking about fitment issues. His car is the red Eclipse you'll see in your post)
It's not hard to put them on. All you'll need is a drill, bolts and some 3M tape (Buy the good stuff from a body shop) If you need to paint it, take them to a shop to have it done especially if you get 95-96 GST or GSX skirts b/c of the grey stripe on those skirts on the bottom half of it..
What you need to do first after you get the sideskirts back (Assuming you needed them painted) is to prep them. First thing is take the sideskirts and look at the edges of them. You might see some black tape along the edges of them. Now you're gonna need to take the old tape off first. Now make sure that you clean the points on the body and sideskirts b4 trying to install them. Also the surfaces need to be dry after cleaning =D.
Next you should ask for help from someone to test fit the skirts to the car. After you do that, apply the 3M tape to the sideskirts edges and them press them firmly into the body of the vehicle, making sure to keep pressure on the points where the sideskirts hit the body and underside so it adheres correctly. Do this for about 2 minutes just to make sure it stays on, although you shouldn't have a problem if you cleaned the areas throughly
When you let go of the skirt, it should be stuck onto the body. Now what I did is jacked up the car and drilled holes into the underside of the body using the sideskirts holes as a template on where to drill. Make sure you use a drill bit that is a bit smaller than the bolt you use to mount the skirt into place. Remember that you can always make the hole bigger if need be. After you drill the holes on the underbody of the vehicle, put the bolts into place and voila, a mounted sideskirt.
Now if you want to run door caps with the skirts, you're gonna have to drill holes into the door I believe if you use the OEM plastic clips. Or you could probably get away with using 3M tape to hold them on.
I personally like the look w/o caps as it looks kind of aftermarket, but still OEM to those that know our DSM's.
Good luck on your venture if you plan to do this.

If you cant find them used on here(which I doubt) you could buy the WingsWest skirts, just like the ones I have. They are polyurethane (stock are fiberglass I think, that yellow stuff) and will cost you $400 smakers. I only bought them because the picture advertized 2gb (97-99) skirts, which I liked better at the moment. Also the wingswest ones are only 2 pieces, skirt and door cap.

stock are urethane too, just a yellow foam molded urethane as opposed to the heavier black urethane that most aftermarket companies use

Slighty partial? hehe
I think you cant go wrong with the 95-96 skirts because they look great with the lines of the 2g. Also they are dirt cheap mostly because all the cool kids think the 97-99 style skirts are the only way to go.
