those weights dont make sense.

For example most forged alum rims made by volk are about 13lbs. 17lbs is the weight of many standard aluminum rims made by aftermarket companies. My EVO5 rims by enkie weigh 17lbs each and 26lbs with tires

i just printed what motertrend said

http://www.motortrend.com/features/auto_news/2006/112_news060713_mosler_mt900s_dymag_carbon_fiber_wheels
"The 18- and 20-inch nine-spoke Dymag wheels sport a magnesium center hub with carbon fiber rims and have been specially designed to complement the silhouette of the MT900S. The Mosler's new carbon fiber front rims weigh 14 pounds, versus the 24 pounds for its current forged aluminum OZ wheels and the new Dymag carbon fiber rear rims weigh a mere 17.5 pounds each compared to 28.5 pounds each for the OZ aluminum versions."
