99623, Powder Coated or Polished?
Posted by DanKid, Aug-30-07 03:06 PM
What's up guys. I am looking to spice up my engine bay by changing my valve cover. I want the highly reflective chrome look and wanted to know which is better? Should I get a chrome powder coated valve cover or pick up a spare stock one and just polish it? Which one looks better and are there any negatives to either? Thanks in advance.

polishing always looks best but will also take forever to do so unless u got a ton of time on your hands just have it sprayed or powdercoated

I was thinking pretty much the same thing. Personally I don't think I'd have the patience to polish the VC, too many tight areas to get into.

I forget where you are in jersey, but I can recommend two powdercoaters for you. In north jersey, TRG coating in stockholm. In central jersey liquidpowdercoats. (located near the oxford valley mall in PA)
