I am putting my HVAC control head back in its factory location and I have all new 3 cables from Dealer. My question is, the guy at the dealer couldnt get me a pic of which ones go where, and I tried hooking them up like this picture, but I dont think its right.

Can someone tell me which cable goes to what side?

One cable should go to the left side of the dash, one to the middle and the other to the right side where the passenger air bag is.

Can someone pull their HVAC trim piece for me a look behind the control head and see which cables go to which control?

I got one sitting in my room with two cables still attached, I will take a pic when I get home if you don't figure it out by then.

Well after looking at it I don't think a pic will help much lol. But I did measure the two cables that were on there. The one for the far left air direction dial is 20 1/2" long with two circle connectors on each end, the black part of the cable is 17". The one for the lower control that moves left to right is 27" long with a "L" shaped connector that hooks to the metal bracket underneath the hvac assembly and a circle connector on the other end, the black part on that one is 24". Let me know if that helps any.

*Edit* If you look under the drivers side dash right next to the console in the corner where the lower dash trim stops, that's where the far left dial connects. And if you open the glovebox and look behind it to the right a little, thats where the lower left/right control connects. Sorry for the lack of proper terminology lol.

So the mode selector meaning vent, defrost, etc cable goes to left side of the dash, the airway selector on the bottom goes to behind the glovebox?? I thought the temp selector (cold or hot) went behind the glovebox?

I went back out to double check the connections earlier and found out why my fan speed control wouldn't work on anything but hi, the plug behind the glovebox was disconnected haha! That's been like that since I got the car and I never thought to look back there. I always thought the control itself was bad. So I decided to put some more effort in this and make something for the wiki, but I have no clue how to put it in there lol.


*HVAC Cable Locations*


The temp selector cable connects behind where the hvac assembly goes. It starts off pointing towards the drivers side then makes a loop and connects here(red arrow) The cable from the switch beside the right ac vent above the hvac assembly goes here(blue arrow)

The mode selector cable connects under the drivers side dash here(green arrow)

The airway selector cable connects behind the glove box here(yellow arrow)
