I'm trying to get a Covercraft Dustop car cover for less than $146. I think that's the lowest price I've seen them for. They look to be very good quality and I'm trying to find the lowest price. Does anyone know where I could get one from at a cheaper price? Thanks!

that sounds like a good deal to me. are you storing the car? if so inside or outside? I can't remember if the dustop series are fitted covers or not. if not and you're outdoors don't do it, crap finds it's way underneath and then the cover becomes more like a big sandpaper bag, if anyone wants I can provide pics of what happens later.

Please do provide pics, I am going to be getting a new paintjob at the end of the summer season and I am already looking into covers for the car.

I'll take a few shots of the side of the roof I haven't sanded and primered tonight. it's pretty nasty, but my car sat under a cover outside for over a year, if you're just going to have it on and off for short periods of time it shouldn't be a big deal.

It's for inside storage that's why I'm going with the dustop cover. Dang, I looked a little closer into that $146 price tag and turns out it's for no spoiler, not grommit for antenna, and serious shipping and handling... :( So now I'm looking for a dustop under like $186. I don't know if I'll find one that price though since I've been looking for days and no prevail. If anyone has one for sale or knows of one cheaper let me know, otherwise I'll just bite the bullet and go for the $186 price tag and let you guys know how it works out!

So I went with a Dustop Custom fit cover from JC Whitney. Just as I was about to buy from some other place I got an email saying JC Whitney has a special 20% off today on purchases over $100. So, needless to say, I jumped for it. I'll let whoever wonders know how I like it. :)

So let that be a lesson, if you're gonna store a car outside for a long period of time it's probably better to leave the cover off and wash it regularly. if you do get a cover make sure it's the custom tailored kind and strap it down so tight it won't move at all

Car covers don't have that problem if you remove it regularly and clean the car. It's the same thing with a car bra.

Well the cover I'm getting is the "best" indoor cover you can get supposedly and since I'm inside I should be all right.

Even without a cover your paint would have done that eventually. Mine looks just like that and has never been covered....lol

I have had older cars that I kept well, polished out the paint on a regular basis. the paint was pristene before I stored the car. took off the cover two years later and found it like that and half buried in dust.

Well if you are going to store a vehicle outside with a car cover, you need to find one that breathes so that moisture will escape. Also your suggestion of washing the car also helps alot. Good advice on making sure the cover is tied down. Man I'm sorry about your car though.

I want to add my two cents in...and I will have pictures later to prove it for you guys...but my car was store outside for about three months threw the winter and my brand new paint job is fucked.

I got it several days ago and love it a lot! It's made with extreme quality and is very soft. So if anyone wants a really nice indoor cover it's the one to get.
