yea carrie i was going to ask you that.. i heard the same thing.. that is why my dash still is not painted.. i dont think the silver will be too bad.. if i dont clear coat it.. it wont be shinny since the sems silver doesnt come out glossy.. im still thinking.. im waiting to do it because i may be putting some guages in her soon..
im hoping ill need a boost guage.. hint hint..
and some others..

hey vegastoy, what did you use the adhesive for??? I know I had mad difficulties trying to mask off the sections I didnt want painted. How many coats of paint/clearcoats did you do??? I need to redo mine, cuz I already have some scratches in it and I did it last weekend.:(

i have dyed my carpet.. but i was told to use vinyl dye.. and i did but if you step on it enough it comes off.. so before every show i wind up doing it again.. it looks really good but does not stick. iam gettting diamond plated floor mats soon.. im going to try to buy some nice black carpet and just make my own .. it shouldnt be all that hard.. i can get some fabric hardner.. and lay the carpet over my stock and use that to where the dips and stuff are.. i wil try it when i rip apart my int again for the 3rd time.. if i do it ill take more pics and show them to u guys and how i did it..but u can prob just buy carpet.. i checked www.accmats.com but they had none for 95 and up.... u can prob get them done professional.. but i think it would be lesss fun and $$

didnt take any interior pics yet but it comes out bas ass.....i did a whole right up on it like 2 months ago...just scrup it clean with scuff pad, spray two coats of bulldog (it makes the paint really realy stick to the plastic), 2 -3 coats of paint, and 2 clear, all done....let sit for 24 hours....as far as carpet, im just having an upholstery shop do it for like 150 bucks....then diamond plated mats...joe

forget that, youll be used to the glare in no time. the only time in 2 years the white glare on my dash bothered me was the first summer i had it painted. i wore sunglasses. now i dont even notice it.
