Well I dont own a 420a anymore, however i'm getting my buddy into turbos. today was step one in the turbo build. were going to take it weekend by weekend. So all the peopl ready to bash him/me for having a fmic and no turbo can hush up because hopefully in 3 weeks it will be all installed. he already has a rebuilt 14b as the turbo of choice for this build. He's going for a show car that turbo'd so he'll only be pushing 7psi. Were trying to make it as reliable as possible as well.

Odd thngs people might say.
-the passenger side piping is just hanging low because nothing is attached to it in the picture
-his passenger side seat is out because he drove to my house with no front bumper on and the fmic and piping and etc in the car.

lemme know what you guys think. i think it turned out ace.

Looks nice, I would just take the piping off though for now if there is no turbo on it yet. Should only take 1 weekend though to do a turbo install IMO. Hopefully you won't need 3. Keep us updated though, looks good so far :thumbsup

thanks for the responses.

i think the last pics look neat they were "night scenes" haha
yeah it took me one weekend to do my turbo conversion, but since he needs his car every week were working inbetween two college and work schedules. plus i have my own 1g to work on!

but before the turbo were doing a MLS gasket and arp headstuds to seal the deal of any engine troubles.

and hopefully ill get to the track in my 1g this weekend. its sorta lame im not even near the potential of my 20g because im maxing out my 550s :(!!!

that IC pipe looks like the next speedbump will take it right off. Should have routed it above the FMIC imo. good luck.

I have had the same lip for the last two years and still no cracks. There is another lip out there which is called the rsdsm lip but everyone says it shatters really easy.
