OK so I need the front right strut tower piece my is rusted through. by Rusted through i mean i could probably put my hand in the hole. I took it to an auto body shop and they told me 1500 dollars to fix. so im wondering if anyone out there as a beater 2gnt that they are willing to get me this piece. snice i got caught doing 45 over in a 55 ill probabaly lose my liscens for a while so i might just fix it and sell it. but i need help with this anyone who knows anything that would help me would be great thanks a lot...

So let me get this straight... you were doing 100mph in a 55mph zone? damn! last time I went that fast it was at least in a 75mph zone, and that was just to pass some asshats.

He's probably a juvenile so it is probably different.

I would recommend having a bodyshop fix that harsh of rust. From what I've read about all this, you need exact measurements to replace that metal or else your car will ride different.

Yea im just having the body shop do it. costing me 1600 tho. yea im only 17 so i dont think he could really do anything right there on the spot but i have court on the 30th wish me luck. so total so far 4 grand for the car. 430 for new controll arms balljoints. say 200 in oil changes and 501 ticket and 1600 for new strut tower install. lame!!! and my ride is still stock lol ouch. so any of you guys want to start giving me your old mods or parts ill take them just to say its not stock. ill write your name in my hood or something. joking . . . kind of. lol thanks guys just for rocking on this site

Damn man, you need to slow down, what the hell where you going 100mph for? I think Ive only been over 100 once (130) in the freeway when I first got my header. As for court, dress nice, you are having to take a parent so make them dress nice too. They are going to ask you if you declare yourself quilty or innocent, Ill leave that one up to you. Say what ever best excuse you have if any, and assure them it is not your usual behavior. Make sure YOU do most of the talking to the judge as this will show some maturity. When I had just bought my car I got stopped because I burned out of a parking lot, and didnt have my license. The 3 kids that went in before me got their licence suspended for 3yrs. I went in with all paper work, license registration and insurance, nice slacks long sleeve shirt (mind you the rest of the guys there where "saggin" with hats on and stuff). I came out with a reduced ticket (from $600-$300) and sweaty palms, but the guys before me were not as lucky.

thanks man i already have a suit and stuff so im good there. i speed a lot by a lot i mean i drive normally in a 55 at 80.i have a real problem but i learned my liscen with this one i hope. once the car gets out of shop im jst going to baby her. still im sad all the money i saved for the tein basic coilover kit . . gone.

Damn bro, you just got your license and at this point its more than likely revoked. Not worth it man, why do you find that you need to speed? I wish you the best of luck, and hope thy dont take it away but if they do, I think you'd better off selling your eclipse, driving without a license is only more potential dissaster, they could revoke it for the next 10yrs if you goof around again. I'd say that you have a VERY good chance of losing your license, if you do, I'll feel a little bad for you because driving is one of the greatest freedoms one can have (shy of spending thousnds upon thousands getting a pilots license) but I think if you have a habit of excessive speeding this could be a good learning experience for you. it took me getting rides or walking everywhere for a year and a half to learn my speeding lesson (not to say I son't still go fast, but I keep it on the track or highway, everywhere else is maybe 5-10 over) being a little older has helped too, plus becoming a parent.
