98002, Bending door pulley?
Posted by Ethanbot, Feb-28-07 03:01 PM
Hey, I searched the forum and found nothing, so now I'm posting.

My passenger door won't open from the outside, which has happened before. Somebody else fixed it for me last time by bending the door pulley, that metal bar. I messed around with it, but I don't know where or which way to bend it, so I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction.

You can bend it any way as long as it can move freely and not hit anything, the idea is to just shorten the travel length of the rod a little to compensate for your door handle being worn out.

Is the handle broken on the inside? which is very common.

If the handle lifts the bar is probably okay and just needs adjustment.
Make sure all those clips that go over the bar on the inside are installed correctly and snapped closed.
