97811, Fiberglass. What would you like? Posted by eclipse982nrRST, Feb-08-07 01:46 PM
I am trying to see if anyone would like anything to see fiberglass that hasnt already been made, like door panels, rear quarter panels, headliners, etc etc.
Is there anything in particular you guys would like? I have some extra resin and other products laying around and a couple of days off next week that I would like to start some small projects, but an unaware of what you guys would want? Anyone wanna shout out some idea's. I am not getting into anything big like speaker boxes or amp racks!
How about some fiberglass tweeter pods to take place of the mirror covers or something like that???
Fiberglass cargo covers maybe?

The tweeter idea sounds nice Mike.
I really wish i had the time to work fiberglass. I miss it so much. It was fun learning by trial and error to do different things with kitty hair and resin.
If you havent tried it yet, try mixing bondo and fiberglass, that trick comes in handy.

i use the bondo/resin trick all the time over the fiberglass mat . i do 50/50 and its pretty much self leveling . saves a ton of time sanding .

how much would a fiberglass headliner cost??? That would be sweet. The tweeter idea is pretty tight too.

You've already challenged me with your sig! Did you tie your camera to an electric plane and set the timer and letter rip? :wtf
But yah Mike...that tweeter idea would be great. Also how about a dual gauge pod on the steering cover instead of the one? How much for something like that?

Sorry man...was just a joke. Seriously, I have a hard time looking at that for some reason. In all honesty, hurts my eyes!
Hey Mike...could you make a dual gauge pod for the upper center vents, but still leave all the buttons in tact? I would seriously buy one of those from you right now!

A sunroof plug, or whatever you want to call it. Something to replace the sunroof glass.

ditto on the mirror cover tweeter mount.

ditto again on the tweeter mount. i made my own tweeter mounts that replaced the door air vents...they work well, tweeters are very well-aimed. however...it's awfully hot in the summer here and tweeters don't have quite the same cooling effect as an AC vent.

are you saying to replace the glass? or plug up the sunroof all together? i was thinking, sort of like a functional plug, no glass but the sunroof would still open up. is that what you were saying???
mike that would be awesome and id definately get me one of those ;)

fillers for the fog light holes in the stock 2gb bumper no fake light holes like the rs ones. I wraped mine and painted them flat black they looked bad @ss till they cracked and i ruined my stock fillers making them but if you made something similar or just unique to go there i would deffinatly buy it, and your bumper appears vacant in the same area.

It's a photoshop, designed by an old schooler a long time ago. He started to build it in his garage... and last I heard he was living in a garage saving for an engagement ring. Then he disappeared.
I loved that bumper too and was going to design it using a spare one I have, but I'm going a different (and slow) route.
