i bought a blitz body kit off ebay and this thing is junk nothing lines up does anyone have any good site that tells how to get this thing on or any pics form a body kit install that they did.

well starts with what is wrong:

1. blitz body kit (if you like it, then that's all that matters)
2. ebay body kit (you get what you pay for)
3. trying to research something after you bought it

now the things you need to try:

1. use the search feature
2. talk to a body shop
3. use the search feature

the most #1 reason why your kit doesn't fit is because it's not factory. second reason, after a mold has been used several times, the product gets worse and worse. if you honestly want it to fit good, it's going to probably have to be broken, refiberglassed, or molded. all of which will need to be done by someone who has body experience.

It's true, you cheap out on the kit and you're gonna pay for it up the ass on installation because it's going to need to be changed to make it fit. A lot of places won't even want to bother trying to make it fit b/c they are often so bad. I've heard of people fighting with them for hours and then just saying F it, it's not gonna happen, unfortunately then you've got a giant paperweight unless if you can return it

I doubt they will let you return it and if they do you'll lose a lot of money on shipping and restocking fee. If you can live with yourself the only way to make back most of your money is to put it up for sale on ebay and say you totaled your car before you got a chance to install it. Some kid with too much money who hasn't done his research will buy it. :P

almost all people selling kits on ebay are non returnable . also all kits are horrible quality and more times than not arent even usable . like said before you will most likely be cutting a bumper in half to make smaller are bigger . plus all the waves and around lights and fenders dont line up . you really get what you pay for expecially when buying kits . i guess u learned ur lesson the hard way . always do research before buying .

everyone is right. body kits now fit like shit. companies have found quicker/less expensive ways to make them and they all fit like garbage. you should have seen the trouble i went with making my widebody kit fit and it was straight from the company who produced them! i doubt you will get a refund too since most ebay sellers cover thier asses and say modifictaion may be required for fitment or somethign atleast close to that. i would either recommend cutting it half, putting it on and molding the rest of it together, take it to a body shop and have them do it or sell it and buy a urethane kit since most of those fit pretty good anyway.

I definately agree with buying urethane instead of fiberglass. I have urethane on both of my cars and the fitment is great plus if you ever hit anything you don't have to worry about seeing your kit break into pieces.

Not entirely true. Apparently if you hit curbs fairly hard you can crack polyurethane as my Stillen bumper discovered a while back. I'm a 'tard

Well it is definetely worth contacting the person you ordered from and tell them the item is not as it was described. Usually cheap kits on e bay they tend to say like bull lines like prepped and ready for paint; or factory fit, etc- and 9 times out of 10 the kits i see that come off of e bay u can see through them or they are already cracking due to being too thin or too much gel coat. So for starters you can try to BS ur way out of it. (Basically see if you can catch him in his auction as making it misleading allowing you to open a case with e bay and get ur money back :)) If that fails I HIGHLY reccomend just taking the kit and reposting it on e bay. Sure you might lose a 100 bucks on e bay for listing it, but The man hours needed to repair a crappy mold will be worth your while- Also the longevity of getting a urethane kit versus a fiberglass kit is night and day. Ive had my kit on my car whihch is a full blitz kit with a invader front end and I havent had to repair it in over 2 years. With a fiberglass kit you have to right on the money with an install. You have a lot of reinforcing of your kit to do and if you arent dead on about 4 or 5 months later your gonna start seeing you kit spidering just due to vibration of the kit at high speeds. And since fiberglass doesnt flex as much as urethane. Ull not only have to repaint but also reglass. I do reccomend using the urethane kit but PLEASE be aware - With urethane you lose the ability to build up ur kit due to gaps and whatnot. Sure you can bolt on side and work with the other- But usually if you got a serious gap there relly isnt much you can do. Im not saying buy a expensive body kit from retail- because mine is from e bay. Try searching around for a decent urethane jkit ur friends have used or people here on 2gnt have. Cuz i bought mine from a fella on ebay called areo designs and i think he has another named carbon innovations. Same kit me and 4 of my friends used. They held up. Hope this helps
