Im trying to change the lights in the side mirror thing, the hvac, and cluster which i still havent found how to do i have heard little about the cigarette lighter light tho so if anyone knows information on this it would be great to let me know. so how to get the cluster out and cigarette lighter. thanks for the help

Edxmon should chime in about the cigarette lighter bulb... I believe his is red. I never knew the damn thing even had a light to be honest, mine never worked.

If you pull the cluster out, you can simply replace the bulbs with different color ones. For the HVAC lights, I believe there is a how-to on that one... anyone?

There is a how to for the ONE Hvac light, thats all there are..lol you will need to remove the center vents and the A/C switch to get to it.

The cigarette lighter bulb is accessed from behind the console. you can either remove the top of the console to get to it or remove the driverside side panel and reach in.

The gauge cluster you can just remove the cluster itself and the bulbs twist our from the backside.

Its realyl not the difficult, just be careful.

i just did my whole interior in #74 and #194 blue leds.looks nice . heres where i got them.they plug right in replacing the stock bulb

Have you summoned me Saikou? :P hehehe, right on the spot Sai, I did my interior in red LEDs, and went just a BIT farther by changing the ring color around the ignition key. It's a nice detail let me fish the old thread up for you:

how did you change the ring color on the cig lighter . i took out the amber ring to try to do something with it but couldnt think of anything . i wanted it clear .

Well since the ring is amber (it IS amber right?) red light will still shine light through it, i just changed the incandecent #74 to a red LED #74, and voila!

Also check, maybe its just the bottom of the ring that has an amber coating, so maybe you can sand it off? Aside from making another or buying the generic ones they sell at Vatozone idk how you could make it shine while light.

yup its full amber . itried wetsanding it but its not a coating . no big deal it just looks a lil more greenish blue than the rest .

Pepboys sells a lighter socket with a green ring that will fit, I put one in my RS and in my GSX, put a blue led in and it lights up blue. I found it in a how to on this site somewhere.

Yeah I changed the cigarette lighter ring blue by adding a blue led plus the greenish blue ring from an aftermarket cigarette lighter found at napa.

Changing the light is quite easy. Move your seats all the way forward. Then you will see that there is a screw on each side of the console toward the rear. Take them out, and then remove the bezel around your radio. Pull the cupholder and ashtray out. You will see 2 screws. Undo them and then lift the console up. Then you can just pull out the light and replace them. reassemble and then you have a new light. By the way, what's the point of having the light anyway?
