97046, can I get a photoshop here?
Posted by ez, Oct-27-06 12:36 PM
or if someone can link me to instructions on how to change colors of things in photoshop, that would be even better. I can't seem to figure out how to do this.

Here is a pic of my enkei:

I want to paint them glossy black, or gunmetal, or some other dark color (my car is black). Can someone photoshop what that looks like?
And make the center cap black, maybe even turn the lugs anodized red?

I think these are the best wheels for 2g's but they are showing their age. The center has flaking clearcoat, scuffs where the knuckleheads who balance my tires impact wrench them, and whatnot. The rest of the wheel has scuffing, rock chips, etc... The center cap has faded from red to pink. A girl thought she was complementing my car yesterday when she said the caps were such a "pretty pink color. that's the best part of your car!"

I don't want to just polish the whole wheel over, as only the center comes polished on these wheels, and the whole wheel being that shiny is too pimp for my tastes. I'm already ghetto as it is

sorry didn't see this earlier Erik. Didn't come out as glossy as I intended, but you get the idea. I think with a a bit more gloss, it will look nice.

thanks Hamelth, you saved me from making a mistake. don't really dig that black, something needs to change. maybe they do need to be more glossy, or maybe they should have the center part polished, or maybe only part of the spoke should be painted.

And I would def anodize red the lugs, b/c my whole them is black and red.

You mean, ancient like the car THEY ARE ON?

LOL, some 2g's are now 12 years old. my shoguns rule. old skool

I do, however, dream about black volk 19s with a silver polished lip. drool...

haha true but just cus the car is old doesn't mean make it look it, might as well put some 100 spoke on it and extend the axles haha. Suprisingly people didn't believe me when I told them mine was a 97 they always thought it was at least an 01+ (non-eclipse people) you'd be suprised what an updated "look" can do for a car.

Problem with those rims is there is no lip, so you're going to have to do something creative, or just get new rims, lol.

I think you need to lower it...:P The black doesn't look bad. You need a photoshop with it lowered, and a profile view.

the shoguns are pretty OG.

yes K, I really need to lower it. I had some sportlines on last year, but whenever I made a right turn on them, I would get a horrible grinding noise. too ghetto. but the spring rate felt like stock - it was awesome.

I think prokits may work out better, but I hope they aren't too stiff.

I'm going to get some profile pics up, and find a way of cleaning up my rims while keeping them silver. is there anyway to clean up a metal finish without having it polished/shiny looking? b/c I like the look of the metal as it is, sometimes it looks like robocop

I concur. I have some extra "like-new" blue caps that don't fit my color scheme. I'm going to cut them in half and fiberglass up some dome shaped caps with the diamond star in the middle, then attach the fiberglass to the piece of the center cap that goes into the wheel

The same ones are on NFS?! can you put them on a black eclipse in the game? someone needs to send me pics of that! or even video of that same car racing around - I could do some cool stuff with that.

I have the shoguns, used to have the same pink/faded purple caps. I painted them black, makes a world of difference

yup EXACT same rims, i dont know how i would go about taking a pic of a game on a ps2 tho... i know a pic of the TV wont work too good, unless u can install a ps2 emulator on ur PC and use the game in there or download the rom.
