96974, SPAL motors wearing out?
Posted by MCubed45, Oct-21-06 10:10 AM
so i've had my kit for a couple years now and lately the windows have started moving VERY slowly. is this happening to anyone else? i know a bunch of people installed kits around when i did. i'm not sure if it's just the motors wearing out or maybe the tracks just need greasing or something...

i don't mind buying a new kit if that'll solve the problems. i think i got a good 2-3 years out of them. easily one of the most useful mods i've done.

i had mine for about 2 and a half year and they are slow as hell now . i mean really slow . sometimes it stops and i got to keep clicking the switch to get it up or down . i would really like to know a way of fixing it also .

blah i guess i'll look into a new kit. the thing that sucks is mine are wired for auto-roll up. the motors have reached a point where they dont necessarily always roll the windows all the way up. i've left the car half open a couple times b/c i assumed the auto-roll up was working normal. i'm so used to walking away from my car with the windows open and just arming.
