I think there are two pictures where anyone here could probably tell in a heartbeat that it's a 2g, the picture with the top up and the one with the door open where you can see the door panel

at least the used real skins for the whole project and not GALLONS of bondo! looks good dunno about the G35 rear on the vert, but maybe thats just cus now i own a g35 so im a lil biased haha either way awesome work! Dash could ask for a lil more thought though.

The work looks well done.

But I still thinks it's a gawdy waste of money and time.

Body work looks clean, however the interior is sub par. None of the materials seem to go with the exterior and I could've done the seat upholstery work better with my sister's sewing machine. If they cleaned up the interior of that car, it'd be damn near unstoppable on the show circut, but until then...they should just keep the top up and the doors closed.

Impressive workmanship, but absolutely pointless. If you want your car to look like a 350Z, then buy a fucking 350Z. To do something like that is just retarded. It's tacky.

How much for a Z front clip? $2000? How much for a G35 rear clip? $3000? How much did they pay for Johnny Ricer's Spyder? $1000? From the looks of the paint, the materials involved and the stereo bullshit, I bet they spent as much, if not more than they would have if they had just bought a Z in the first place.

haha, that is by far the most extensive conversioning (<--- i think i just made that word up) that I have ever seen.

If they just bought a Z then they'd have nothing to show off except a stock Z that's not gonna win any trophies. The TMIC in my opinion is just plain retarded though. IT shoulda stayed a 4g63 (if it was) and just converted to AWD with a nice sweet turbo setup.

Complete waste of time. Maybe someone should go sawzall a hole in their hood and make a cardboard scoop so the IC atleast get's SOME air to it.

as for the Spyder/350...meh I have better things to with my time and money.

Couple of things I noticed ...

Suspension geometry is f'd. Bad.
Putting in that STI motor, put in that STI AWD trans. That thing looks AWD from the pictures. Nice.
The paint ... all that money spent painting that thing ... and they couldn't paint behind the body panels and other covered spots? Weak.
TMIC with no airflow. Completely stupid ... it's not even the stock TMIC which then I could understand because the didn't want to alter the motor or whatever. it's a HUGE FMIC that they put on top.

I like the idea of being original but damn ... so much stupid shit in there still ... with the TMIC being the worst.

oh yea, STI front suspension with 2gnt rear suspension. No good.

All that welding with no rust protection in the crevices = rust in 6 months. Then again japan never was concerned with rust protection, why should its people.

Impressive job. One of the better conversions Ive ever seen. Would never do it myself, see no point. And mistake me if Im wrong but looks like this wasn't done in the states. Japan maybe?

Only reasononing I can see behind the Top Mount is because the car more than likley doesn't get driven and when the hoods popped at a show you get more of a "bling factor" than having it tucked behind the bumper.

its not my cup of tea, but I will say the work is amazing. regardless of wether its a waste of time or money, its still beautiful work. and yeah that is one original ride!

I think the car looks better then a stock eclipse, stock 350Z, or a stock G35. The car looks nice to me. I dont like the idea of the STI motor, but its different and if its not driven then who cares. Thats justmy opinion, though.

I don't know how to feel about this. I think the hard work and effort to be original needs to be appreciated. I don't like the idea of having the engine swaped out. I know they wanted it to look like a 350z, but why not just buy one. I like the car. It just looks like someone bought a 350z and dropped it on nice wheels and customized the interior. Very nice body work though!

I agree with you, with the exception of the G35, because in my opinion the G35 Sportcoupe looks better than anything else on the road currently that isn't an exotic.
