I was washing the back of my talon off and when I opened the hatch there was water that leaked in. It leaked it from the crack when you close the hatch there is the space between the quater panels and the hatch. Is it like that whith everyone elses?

there is a water channel there. what happend (and often happens) is your drain lines get clogged and it runs over down behind your panels and pools in your spare tire well. go out and open your hatch. youll notice 2 holes going straight down through the body work. there is a barb at the end to which plastic hoses are connected. these hoses often get clogged up with dirt and debris. sometimes you can jam something down there and clean it out, other times not. i ended up just replacing the hose on mine.
and for draining your mini swimming pool back there, youll notice 2 rubber plugs in the bottom. get under your car and pull one loose...presto.
almost like mitsu/DC planned on this happening so they put in a bath plug :wary

I had the same prob till a week ago... found my gaskets between hatch & spoiler were broken down & letting the water flow in. The plastic panel on hatch actually held it all and rusted out the wiper motor. Not to mention everytime I opened the trunk all the water would just pour out.
I think satan charged me ~$15 for the 3x diff gaskets, - J

same thing with me, its lovely when the passenger area fills a pool of water, or you open the hatch and have a water fall come out of your hatch panel

I'm having the exact same problem. When it rains or after I wash my car if I open my hatch wather just pours all over the backseat and in the hatch.
Sometimes after a lot of rain for several days, behind my drivers seat on the floor a puddle of water will start. WTF!
I'm gonna try to unclog the drainpipes I guess and see if that helps.
