96460, gettign rid of scratches Posted by OrangeGlow, Sep-12-06 07:27 AM
Friend of mine owns a 96 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS and he has some scratches on his black dash, he wants to know the best way to get them out, or at least less noticible. The scratch is about 10 inches long probabally from his phone he said. One guy sugested using a heat gun slowly and wave it over till it blends, and another said try a polishing compound. I know our dash's are synthetic leather. Thanks!

Wow. Be patient. It has been all of 6 hours since your post. Not exactly a situation worthy of a bump.

Heat will probably not work, it sits out in the sun all day anyways and bakes to damn hot temps, how would a heat gun be any different?
BTW stop bumping your thread.
