Come on guys, help me out here. about uploading/adding a picture to a post or to my profile.
|
96207, RE: Check out my Dsm/rated Posted by FlyinEsi, Aug-23-06 02:16 PM
Go to www.photobucket.com and sign up for an account. It is pretty self-explanatory how to upload pictures after that. Once pictures are uploaded, just post the URL provided by photobucket and post that in your reply.
Example.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v132/flyinesi/GSX/Phoenix. jpg
but when you take out the space you will get VVVVVV showing up automatically.
Or you can upload several pictures and just provide all of us the "folder" everything is saved in.
Example.
http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v132/flyinesi/GSX/
Just go into your folder with your pictures and copy and paste the HTTP address at the top of your explorer.

thank god the rice hasn't spread to the outside, quick! take off the steering wheel cover, and seat covers, slam it (DON'T cut the springs) and then your set

I know, I know relax..
The seat covers was emergency because I get dirty at work.
Mmm.. I should give them to my younger brother his Mx6. It'll go with his riceburner motorcycle Yamaha :shrug

96214, RE: Check out my Dsm/rated Posted by dalesmitsu, Aug-23-06 04:09 PM
Yep, I'm gonna slam her and put a better suspension on too.
Before the turbo, eventually I'm gonna get her done. Before the 07 shootout.
I'm so glad I found her(my DSM) in the local autotrader. paid $5500 cash was $5900. Talk her down cause it needed a new timing /waterpump because it sat in her parents garage.
The choices I had before decided on my Fav. DSM 1. 1999 Honda Prelude black vetch v6 race ready. for 6900 but the trans was shot. 2. 1989 Nissan 240sx red w/ xtra shoes 4500 passed on it because I didn't want someones elses headache engine/tranny wouldv'e been shot 3. Two CRX's for 1500 passed these two cause guy already sold his intergra. 4. 1997 Cavalier Z24 white same as the above.
Here's the reason why bought my Dsm story time :)
First of all, my worked for Chrysler in Detroit always owned Chrysler too. He also, had an old beat up Datsun/nissan his play toy for the sand dunes in northern Michigan. Also, taught my to drive it before I was 16. Next, I have cousin who drag raced Mopars at Michigan speedway and on the streets for either money or pinks. He keeps the engine but gives up the car. Before this Scene went big. So, I pretty much grew up with a wrench in my hand. But, I was more into playing guitar than cars, when I was younger. Now, I'm getting older, I decided guitar playing is more of a hobby & Music will always be in my Dna.
So, from the crap heartache in went through when my dad pasted away in 1996, married in 1997 had a kid in 1999 and then got screwed/played by my now ex. wife. Divorce finalized in 03' I have $40,000 reasons to hate her...
An here's my enjoyment now... :cry :love I'm very happy now. Hopefully before the 07 shootout I get to see my mini me. Haha joke's on her cause my ex. see's me through my daughter and I know she hates it..
Thanks for the help, photobucket info. Pics of my DSM will be updated. :cheers

Fixed.
What I would do: 1. drop about 1-1.5" on GSX wheels 2. tint is definitely mandatory on a white car; just doesn't look good without it 3. loose the front license plate 4. loose the wheel/seat covers 5. definitely turbo it soon to make use of that currently-useless exhaust
Enjoy & take care of her.

96221, RE: Check out my Dsm/rated Posted by dalesmitsu, Aug-23-06 08:29 PM
Thanks but,
I was pulled over without front license plate. I could relocate it to lower left/right corner.
I also debaged the rear so, tail lights are completly red with logo's removed on hatch.
Because, you know some would laugh at GS, and I like clean looks.
Stock spoiler is getting removed, either keeping smooth or Vis Gtr wing.

96222, RE: Check out my Dsm/rated Posted by SpreadEagle, Aug-23-06 08:37 PM
Looks clean, don't be too quick to lose the front plate tho, Ohio is a real ball breaker with that. I never thought much about it, I just paid the tickets but the last one I got was a mandatory court appearance for too many of the same violation in the last 2 years.

The wing mod is kinda up in the air. :shrug My younger bro. suggested it.
I've seen a nice DSM in a Mag, with a bodykit /lines molded smoothed out everything blended in without a wing.
Plus, I've thought with sport wings they would eat-up fuel. Is why I might not put one on her

96233, RE: Check out my Dsm/rated Posted by dalesmitsu, Aug-24-06 08:05 PM
Na.. I'm not serious.
But, the hatch will be carbonfiber no wings, hood will be carbonfiber too.
What would be cool, is to keep it a sleeper and have white carbonfiber stock frontbumper, white carbonfiber fenders, white carbon fiber doors, also white carbonfiber hatch. Put a 16g turbokit from hahn in it front mount intercooler, stock GSX or GST catback exhaust system.
"Silent but Deadly" }( Close up :wavy view my Dsm

Cool, Avatar where can I find those at and the Mitsu Logo humpin the Honda.
It'll make a good t-shirt or window decal lol..

Keep ganging up on new members and you will be given a gracious finger over to tunerz.

They're pretty much full out show cars and turbo'd, one of which probably has one of the highest powered cars on here. That is not rice. However, showing off about new seat covers and the all exclusive Super Street steering wheel cover is alot closer. That's just me though.
Anyway, I'm getting VERY tired of the term "rice" :thumbsdown

And let's not get into bench racing, sir. Until someone else puts up a dyno slip, Thura's 400whp is currently the most powerful car on the board.

Very true. That widebody kit weighs close to 400-600lbs with all the bodywork. Not saying anything bad about it, Mike did a very nice job on the body work. But saying its one of the most powerful cars with nothing to bac it only proves one thing. BULLSHIT

What are you talking about? Mike has posted up many kills. How am I "bench racing"? I didn't say he was the most powerful car on here I said "probably one of the most powerful". I might be wrong but a GT35R with MSnS and 20+psi doesn't sound weak to me. BTW, he is planning on going to the strip and has dyno time at the end of September I believe?
If you don't like me talking for you, Mike, just say something LOL.
Edit - Weight has nothing to do with how powerful it is.

Lol, ever heard of this thing called Power-To-Weight ratio?
EDIT:
True, Mike has put a shit ton of time and money into his car, but a collection of expensive parts does not equal a powerful car. Choosing the right parts that work together, tuning, more tuning makes a powerful car.

Yes, POWER-TO-Weight. What don't you understand? Say a car has 1000hp, it might weigh 5000lbs but saying 1000hp isn't powerful.. well, somethings wrong with you.

Having a dyno sheet is sort of definitive proof of wHP. Having a timeslip is still only an estimate.

No I dont. It all started last weekend, the GT35 is in and I am getting ready to install the MSnS this weekend. The SFMU and all that piggy back has been removed. I have had MS for about half a year now, just never put it in because I never had the car running long enuogh to play with it, lol. I posted like a month ago in the Turbo section Terry about the new Turbo I bought. Its a Garrett GT35. I am hoping to have everything wrapped up by September 14 when I go to the Dyno and then September 17 is track day.
Also Terry, if you think my widebody kit added 400lbs of weight, your way off buddy. That whole kit together weighed LESS than my complete urethane blitz front, rear and sides all put together. It is very lightweight fiberglass. I dont know how much weight it did add however, but i know it wasnt no 400 lbs.
I didnt even know all this talk was going down in here about me, sheesh.
I am not claiming to have the fastest cars on here, but I bet I am in the top 25. I hoping to make good #'s now with the GT35 and MSnS. I will probably dyno at 22psi on 660 injectors that I have. I am new the MS scene, so hopefully I can get it all wrapped up by then, I see no problem why I wont though.
Quit the bickering about me though please, lol.

96281, RE: Check out my Dsm/rated Posted by Star Turbo Talon, Aug-28-06 11:10 AM
Mike, For body work i was thinging or the fiberglass interior, body kit and all the actual body work (blending, kitty hair, bondo ect) either way there is no way to tell unless you have weighed the car at the track.
As far as the MSNS, my point was that you have not installed it yet. 420a..works posts a sif it is installed and running....yeah ok, i am the one who needs to learn how to read.
The turbo I was aware of, i am still waiting for you to see how it does. if you get a chance send my a PM with the details on the turbine side ect and your spool details. I am curious how that turbo reacts on our 2.0.
Be careful with the 660's Mike, i dont think they will be large enough for that turbo. My 550's are 100 DC at 18 PSI/6000RPM on the star turbo. I think the 660's are going to be your limiting point.
Good luck with the MSNS install, take your time.
Terry

Here is the thing about my interior though, it seems like it weighs a lot but in reality, it doesnt. The heaviest thing is the dash. Even the dash though has no heater vents, no airbag or anything like that. All the rest of the stuff is either lighter or the same, since all my front interior is molds from the factory pieces, it actually weighs less then the plastic. For the trunk, everything is stripped, I have no rear seats or any spare tire of trunk panels, its all gone and nothing replaced it.
I was thinking the same thing about the injectors but I also have a set of 720's from RC.
I dont know how the GT35 will do with the 2.0L to be honest Terry. I know in higher RPM it will scream, but I think at about 3500 and under it will be worthless ya know. If I dont like it, I intend on putting the 60-1 back in, thats why you havent seen it for sale yet.
I do however have a stock PT Cruiser 2.4 that I was going to put it in over winter and build that up and sell the 2.0, that was the intention on buying the GT35, but since I am expecting a child soon, priority is first and that spare motor and extra neon 3.55 tranny will be for sale VERY soon.
I really am hoping to make good numbers in the 300 marker at the dyno and hoping to get into the 12's at the track. I cannot speak about it though until the night is over, so until then, thanks for the luck with the MSnS install. I am not going to rush anything since I have almost a month to get it done and somewhat tuned enough to make it to the dyno.
Terry, I will PM you all the details you want about the setup after the dyno runs.

Truthfully, I am looking forward to what it can do. You have had this car for so long now and have made so many changes that it will be nice to actually see where its at. Just be careful with the MSnS. Get that fucker tuned perfectly before you blow it up, lol.

Thanks Chris.
I am glad I can finally see what its throwing down as well, lol. I know its going to be good though, I can feel it :).
Getting it tuned right before it gets blown up...EXACTLY.
Thats why I made a reservation to hit the dyno before I go to the track. I booked 5 hours of dyno time if need be. I go at 8 am and have until 1pm to play with stuff. Good thing is, this shop knows what they are doing, they are a great staff and VERY knowledgeble (sp?) people. I know MSnS is tricky at first, thats why I am starting pretty early on it.

I've been sitting back and reading all this and I must say that for the most part it has been a pointless pissing contest and should stop for the good of the site.
However...Mike its good to see the attitude of how you are posting, you and deejay used to have some serious "forum fights" back in the day and now your talking like old pals.
I fucking love 2gnt.com :love

Its kind of funny because I didnt even realize that all this was being discussed about me, lol. I hadnt checked this thread since I replied to it like the first day it was posted. Next thing I know, a couple days later, I am bored at work so I start reading in and I see my name and something about the weight of my car, then I start reading back a couple of replies and see like 3-4 people talking about me, lol. Not in a bad way, but I was like interesting, lol.
I have been trying to get along with Chris for about a year now, lol. I admit I was a helpless assfuck when I first joined this board when I was 17-18yrs old, but now that I am older, the bickering and shit is just stupid and pointless. I asked some stupid questions back in the day a couple of years ago, but I have growned and matured and become very knowledged about our cars and cars in general since I have been a Technician for nearly 2 years now.
Anyway, I try to get along with everyone here, I would like to meet everyone someday...I guess thats why I cant wait until the 07' ShootOut.
P.S. If anyone reads any other posts about ppl talking about me and you dont see me replying, maybe send me a PM to inform me please, haha.

:whoa Damn! this has gotten very long. Never would of thoguht it would. I've been sitting read your post/replies. About me and most part Mike.
I've Done the same, to my DSM removed the rear seats, hatch cover, spare tire and I don't carry my tool bag either.or have subs in it either. lol..
Oh, I've taken out those covers and gave them to my bros. Mx6 his seats are in bad shape. :thumbsup But, in the near future I'll be putting a wing on her.
To me this xtra weight is pointless, as gas prices are so high, and even going head to head too.
To answer your :evilgrin burnin question about this wheel cover. Sorry, but when it comes to the time when I install my turbo maybe juice too. :Don't wanna go flying through my windshield goin 150. I believe safety should come first. :thumbsup
So, I'm keeping my driveside air bag and keepin that fugly wheel cover on. haha..
Come on guys "DON'T BE HATE'N" lol..
Wow, Mike your engine f'n sweet. :bowdown
I'm doing a stage 1 to mine but there will be other performance stuff in there too. My engine/block is pretty decent as it is. very clean.
My previous owner took good care of it. When I bought her which is a plus, because most people would beat the hell out of the engine and tranny.
Pics of my engine bay will be up soon, so you guys lol. more about it. "Can't we all just get along" group huge... just kidding
