what's the hurricane gs shifter and where did you get it?

hurricane gs is a board member. chill for awhile and wait til he reads this post.

it is a stock shifter that has about 2 inches cut off of it, and then welded back together. it makes it so you can see your radio, lol.

probably about 10 +-3 peeps on this board are sportin the hurricane gs shifter. i have only heard good things, at least no bad things, so i contacted him and made a deal.

my boy in my CC out here has it done but I heard the short shifter's will also cut down on throws.. Just trying to find out if I should cut and weld mine or buy a short shifter cause It will help out in better shifting...

but the hurricane shifter does shorten the throw, i have cut my shifter just like hurricane shifter but i am still gettin a B&M shifter that shifter is like whoa...

Isn't the b&M and the obx nearly the same thing

thats what i want to know because there is like a $50 price difference.

does anyone know the difference of OBX and B&M shifters are they the same and you are paying for the name or is one better than the other

I got the short shifter from Hurricane too and it is definitely worth the 40 bucks I paid for it. I think it is an excellent alternative to the more expensive shifters out there. I just installed mine over the weekend and I love the damn thing!

i've got the OBX short shifte (need to update profile). it's made pretty well, very clean and solid all through. the only thing is, it's stock height. you can always do what i did and cut 2" out of the middle of it though. :) ater you get it on and cut, its a very tight shift though. i'm still getting use to it.
