few questions. im converting my whole interior from cloth tan to leather black and wanted to paint all the panels in the car including (trunk panels, rear speaker panel, panels under dash, door panels, etc) i read an old post where someone used SEM satin black and it came out very similar to stock and looked great. just wondering how many cans would i need to paint all my panels (3 coats). i think they come in 12oz cans. and a can of SEM sand free should be enough right? anything else i should get?

I used about 3 cans on my car. (You can see pics of the interior in another recent thread in this section about interiors) Mine is the interior with Sparco seats and black and grey interior.

I used Satin Black and it looked great! I degreased with diluted Simple Green degreaser. Then washed wit Dawn dish soap. Let dry and the painted. It will stick on all vynil parts just fine.
USE the SEM Adhesion Promoter on hard plastic panels like those found in the trunk.

It should turn out nice.

Hey, can you use Armor All on SEM paint, or what do you use to keep it looking nice?

I have used protectant on it once or twice with no ill results. It seems to hold up fine. Ususally I just use nothing at all.
