I like it! great combination of body kit. Roof scoop looks kool...but slows ya down... I have room to talk on that, I got one on my car. good luck with it.

How so??? Does it blow ambient air into the interior or what??

Your car is very sexy though except for only one thing.

That hideous back bumper :P

Other than that. I LOVE it.

That, and the roof scoop looks to be seriously mis aligned. like its way to far over the passenger side. From the center point of the rear view mirror it looks like the scoop is off by several inches even. And there is no such thing as a functional roof scoop, lol, unless you have it ducted down to the engine or the brakes or something FUNCTIONAL

mine is FUNCTIONAL in that i have no a/c so it keeps me cool during the summer time. it vents on me and does a good job. that is functionality in my book.

haha... if it's bringing air into the cabin, then yea, it's functional at increasing drag and slowing you down.
I think your car looks very good minus the roof scoop. The scoop is very mis-aligned... look at the front shot. Look at the rear-view mirror "dot" where it's adhered to the windshield. that should be where the scoop is centered, but it's not even close. Though even if it was centered, i still don't like it.

well, i measured, and the scoop is perfectly on the roof? maybe the mirror is off.

Looks good, it could also be that the sun glare is making it look to be more towards one side or that the rear view mirror is tilted a little towards the driver seat. If you look at it long enough you can see that it looks pretty straight, just take those two things into consideration. And if it is off at all, it might be just an inch off.

I never liked that off angle exhaust look. *shrug* To each their own I guess.

id just be interested to see how you ran a vent for your scoop. not doubting or questioning at all, just wanting to know how it works. not my taste but hey..at least it IS functional...just as functional on a rally car IMO. to each their own. is there a way you can cut off air flow?

Take a photo of the ducting from inside the car, to prove its functional. Anyone can say their roof scoope is functional on a forum, from fear of flames from all of us OEM whores who dislike the things. lol.

Don't get me wrong, I mentioned on your first thread that I liked your car.

i can't cut it off as of yet, we're about to make a plug of sorts. a fiberglassed piece that plugs into the outside part of the scoop. it'll have weather stripping and everything, so that it'll completely block off airflow and moisture.

nighttime pics with flash. but you get the idea. i need to get a new vent plate for it, that one's getting busted. but anyway, if you still don't believe me, or just think it's up there to make it look like i have a functional roofscoop, i can pull it down tomorrow and show you the hole.

uhm... what do you mean? just "proving" that the roof scoop is functional. or are you talking about the car? in which case, just sharing my new love of the 2gnt, as i just got my car.

1. Love the color of the car.

2. Don't really care for the wheels...just a bit too bland for my taste. I think a nice black rim would really set off that color of car you have.

3. Don't like the scoop...plus what happens when it rains? Or bugs?

4. Can we get a shot of the engine bay?

i still dont get the point to the scoop. do your vents or windows not work in your car? then i can see that you'd like to get fresh air or something.

but hey, everyone has their own opinions, and its your car, so its your choice.

overall i think its a nice looking car

eh, the vents don't really work all too well. windows work fine, and when they're down, coupled with the vent from the scoop, it almost feels as cool as a/c sometimes.

i kinda forgot all about the engine bay. i'll get pics maybe tomorrow. in a couple weeks, pulling the motor and trans and completely cleaning the bay, then satin blacking the whole thing, detailing miscellaneous, and extending/tucking the harness. also going to detail the block, head, and trans.

oh, and i'm thinking of getting some 18 inch gunmetal rims. not quite sure yet, but we'll see what develops.

as for rain, why i'm making the plug for the scoop.

How long have you had the scoop? Reason I am asking is I know rain has to of had gotten in your car already! My concern would be that there is mold slowly growing up in that vent where it meets the headliner.

your also missing the molding on the back of your headliner by the hatch =)

the headliner is brand new. and the car hasn't been driven in the rain. and yes, i know i'm missing that molding.

I dont like the body kit, rims, or scoop but...the tinted tails WITHOUT the painted center section looks SICK really. Really 80's Japanese sport-style (RX-7, Old Supras, etc)
