I'd remove the door ding guard trim, that always bugs me when I see it. That's just me tho.

Sell the Blitz skirts and buy some 2GB Eclipse or 2GA Talon skirts. Those Blitz high-rise skirts do nothing for the lines of our cars.

Personally, I think Blitz-low skirts look much better. Or you could go with the 2gb skirts. I like the 97-99 Talon front, but I do not care for the LARGE Eagle logo. I would get the logo filled. I think that you should paint the headlight housings black too.

yeah trade those for blitz low side skirts. they match up with the bottom line on the side very nice

2gb sideskirts with a 2gb talon front looks like ass. Think of how the lines on the talon front are compared to the boxy 2gb skirts.
Thats why you need some 2g talon sideskirts.

hey guys, yeah im going to take the side molding off, that was just a test to see how much work im going to have to do. i got the talon lights and bumper out and al lthe eclipse stuff and blitz bumper one. made some more brackets for the bumper so the urethane wont sag. i got all the bumper lines pretty much perfect. the side skirts are going to be the real pain. this is the first body work ive ever done though so im taking it slow and talking to alot of people.
what can i use to help mold the skirts on? or any general info would help alot. pretend im dumb though, because on the body side of cars i am.

2GA Eclipse skirts look rather nice with the 2GB Talon front & rear ends.

EDIT: Regardless of what the hell you put on there, the Blitz high-rise skirts gotta go.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I think that those may be 2gB skirts.

That's what I thought, but... eh. Looks good, I don't think it throws off any lines according to what someone said above.

hey surgeon_general, did you end up molding those urethane sides on? i cant really tell by the pics, but it looks like it's coming along great. if you molded them on how did you do it and what did you use to do it with? keep the progress pics coming!

94778, RE: new exterior project for my car. Posted by surgeon_general, Jun-06-06 08:46 AM
no i didnt mold them on, i wish. i screwed the hell out of them so they never move though. there are a few gaps here and there because i bought the kit used and it has been on another car for a while(hence the green paint) around here in pittsburgh i would end up cracking the bondo or the bodykit itself. the roads are pretty shitty. i wanted to sooo bad. im going to be completely honest with you guys, i musta had some bad tacbell last night so im pretty wiped out. im going to take today off most likely so i can make it to my graduation tomorrow. hooray im out of dam highschool. my lil garrett turbo will be here the 8th. but i wont start that project until the car is painted up and i start my new job however. thanks for all the feedback and such. the bumper conversion was pretty neat to do on the talon. I saw a stock 95ish talon the other day and its hard to believe they are the same cars!

hahaha yes its in and yes its screwed down and it gives me MaD DoWnFoRce Yo. personally i love the wing. and i dont mean to insult any of you that dont like the wing, but i dont really give a shoot because i like it. yes i like the look of a ricer wing. within reasons.
but still thanks for all your feedback so far. i have a really bad case of poison ivy thats all over my face and in my bloodstream (dam dirtbiking.) that has set me wayyy back on finishing my car. but hopefully ill be laying some basecoat down soon. my turbo setup is slowlying taking form in my garage so once the paints done its onto the turbo and neon tranny swap.

if u must have a metal wing you should have gotten a low wide one, not feeling yours but if you like it go for it, just my opinion the really low 2 stack is the only one ive ever not completley hated.
