Apex'i N1 exhuast
HKS Carbon-Ti (GST) exhaust

The reason it is in this section is because I am only asking the opinion on appearance alone. I am aware that the GST HKS exhaust used the same diameter piping as the Apex'i N1 RS/GS exhaust. So... based on looks alone... which one would you guys recommend? Also, do NOT take price into consideration with your decision. Thanks guys!

I know the N1 has the slight angle to it which I absolutely love and I'm sure most of the people on here know what it looks like already, but I'm not sure what the Carbon-Ti (GST version) would look like on my car because I have never seen it, does anyone have any pics?

Yea, depends on what's on your car. Got alot of carbon fiber on it? The carbon fiber wrap is really unnecessary.

The N1 is proven, however. These are pics of the N1 on a DSM.





So, I say N1, solely because it has background.

Well I have a carbon fiber hood, and I have seen the carbon-ti on other cars and I absolutely love the look of it, but I have never seen it on an eclipse. I THINK they have an angle similar to that of the N1 and the carbon-ti is made by HKS so they are just as backed as the N1 is. I'm just having a tough time deciding between the two.

Since price isn't a problem for you, I'd stick with the N1. But if you'd like to save some money, head on over to ebay and search for Tsudo exhausts.

Thermal R&D FTW! But between those I would take the N1. In my opinion carbon fiber exhausts are ricey.

Thanks for the input so far guys. Im really not looking into getting the Tsudo exhuast because of the angle that it comes out at. I absolutely LOVE the angle of the N1, which is the exhaust I'm leaning towards. Does anyone know for SURE that the N1 GST is exhaust comes out at the same angle as the N1 GS/RS? Only reason I ask is because I am going to turbo my car but it won't be for another year or so unfortunately and for the setup I will be doing I'm sure the 2.5" piping will suffice, but I would just like to know if anyone has pictures from behind of the Apex'i N1 GS/RS exhaust or if they know for sure if they come out at the same angle, because of the 3" going under the rear axle and the 2.5" going above it. Thanks guys!

I thought the Tsudo exhaust had the same angle as the Apexi N1 :shrug

i say go with the n1. has a nice deep sound to it, and just overall looks nice coming out of the back of the car at and angle.

Thanks for the pics, I know the Tsudo has an angle but it has more of a direct sideways angle as opposed to the Apex'i N1 angle which comes angles UP and out. Does anyone know if the angle for the Apex'i N1 GST is the same as the Apex'i N1 GS/RS?

I got the apexi GST exhaust on my RS seems to tilt a hair more than the RS/GS but I may be wrong so don't quote me on that. LOVE the sound and look though. Much better than any of my 6 other ones (yea i have issues i know) The greddy evo was second to it, but was way to loud in my opinion.

If you want an exhaust with a nice angle and deep tone go with the HKS Hyper. I got mine a little over a year ago and I still can't get tired of the way it sounds. I get compliments on the way it sounds all the time.

Well isn't the carbon-ti the exact same exhuast system as the Hi-power but it just has a different muffler?

Just get the N1. It's the one you seem to be leaning towards the most...so go with your gut instinct. Right?

I don't understand all this discussion of what exhaust looks the best. It's YOUR car. It only matters what YOU think. I think the N1, the Evo, and the Thermal look UGLY because I know how much money was spent on name brand pipe.

Discussing mufflers, but specifically omitting discussion on sound or price is ridiculous. Fucking superficial. OMG.

Between those 2 it's up to you. I had a Greddy EVO on my old 2g and I loved it. Looked great, sounded great and performed great.

Just so you know...I would NEVER spend the amount of money it costs for a brand spankin new 'brand name' catback or "pipe"...the only reason I have a 'used' N1 is because I got a good deal from bitchhands.

I too think it's ridiculous to spend that much money on something that is name brand for what its worth. Compared to something that could outperform the name brand for HALF the cost.
