Ok heres the deal with my situation, my sister got into an accident with my car, she got sidesswiped by a car at medium speed and the passenger side of the car from halfway from the door to the rear quarter pannel is all dented in and crap and i dont want to throw it away,

but dont know which way is gonna be easier to take, i was thinking of cuttin the rear quarter pannel of my car and a doner car and welding the 2 pieces together. If i dont do that i can bondo the messed up pannel and get a new door.

So which route would be the best route to take, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thanks all

yes it would, but i dont have a digital camera or camera, the best way to describe it would be two cars gettin into a head on collision at high speed and the front gettin pushed back but just not as bad

that description didn't help at all, but in my experience, if you have to have any more than 1/16th of an inch of bondo is asking for trouble. Just weld it and smooth it from there.

As a side note, this reminds me of a guy that went to my college back in the day. He didn't have the money for a body kit, or maybe he couldn't find one he wanted, either way he made his front bumper out of bondo. This thing was approx. 3in. thick in some spots. It lasted long enough for him to finish the project and I was lucky enough one day to see him scrape it on a speed bump and shatter the whole thing off!!! I laughed so hard I couldn't go to class, there must have been about 35lbs of bondo on the ground, it was great. Moral of the story is, bondo is to be used lightly.

I would not use bondo for a job like that.. Not only will it not hold up on a heavy job like that, but uhh simple fact is.. a job done with bondo in that manner is garbage. Over say maybe a year if your lucky with the car getting hot and cold and the body of the car expanding and contracting that shit wont bond for much longer.

My rear quarter on the drivers side and my passenger side door/front fender/ the hood, and part of the rear quarter have had a nice thick layer of bondo on it for over 2 years now. No problems with it even coming off... if it is done correctly, it will stay.

But... I am going to be replacing the drivers side panel in the future, along with the passenger side door, front fender, and the hood. The only problem that I ran into was where water got into the air line during paint, and that didn't show up until a year later.

If you dont mind it looking like crap then bondo it. If you want to do it the right way, weld it, grind it, fill it, sand it, paint it.

You use Bondo to fill it though, "body filler" in other words.

true, bondo is just a name brand and is just a generic term for almost any body filler... if you will fill it use fiberglass filler, then body filler over that. I just said bondo...

or you got one other option... try and pull out the dent with a pin hammer, if you can find one...and then if the metal is stretched, make a relief cut in it and then weld it back together and then bondo it...seen some pretty nasty quarter panels fixed that way...like to say if the metal didnt get stretched to bad, then you may just be able to massage out the dent and just work out the wrinkles... but if theyre too crazy, then cut & remove excess... :shrug hope thats helpful
