Ok i have a question about removing the rear spoiler.. i have the low rise spoiler and when its removed theres three holes. I am just wondering what is a good way of covering up the holes?? Tape and bondo?

Seriously, just leave it on if you don't have the funds to weld and fill it right away.

Yeah, I had my holes filled professionally for $400. Its the only way to go!

Not on a black car its not. My electrical tape has been holding up for 3+years lol

to be done right u need to weld them . theres also a lot more than 3 holes

Well im borrowing a friends welder so i am wondering if i just get sheets of metal and cut them down to size and weld them over the wholes? or what? please help! THANKS!

I'm no expert but I think it'd be dumb to weld over the holes. I'd weld the plates under the hatch so you can file and fill over.

I cut squares of sheet metal, and used JB weld to bond them underneath the holes, filled the holes with more JB weld, then grinded/sanded it down. Yea, real welding is preferable, but JB weld is strong as hell and isn't going anywhere.

i agree with most of these people. dont do it if your not going to do it the right way. get them welded and all the prep work.

me and my uncle did mine, he has a shop, when i installed my body kit and did all the work on my car. and it looks NICE.

well just yesterday i took off the spoiler and all the little gadgets.. theres quite alot of holes lol.. well what i did was got some masking tape and taped under the holes.. then i whipped up some nice pink bondo and threw it on. well after a bit more sanding today its perfect and ready for some primer. there all perfectly smooth like there is no holes there. only problem i had during this experience was there is still 2 holes i cant tape from the bottom of the trunk lid. i cant get to them. well ill have some pictures up 2 night for anyone that wants to take a look. going to have to take pics in garage cuz i work till 9 and its dark then haha.

If you touch those fills with your finger they will fall out. you could have AT LEAST heeded the advice posted in this very same thread and used some sheet metal and jb weld. about 12 dollars and it sure as shit would have held up for longer than 1 pass through the car wash. But whatever, you're the one who posted for advice and didn't take it so...

do yourself a favor if you dont have the cash push that filler back through and put the wing back on till you can afford to do it right. it doesnt look very good wingless either imo

personally i think it looks good without it but how bout the moderators do us all a favor and LOCK this damn post. not even important anymore. its just a fighting post now.

This doesn't need a lock, and it's actually not a bad thread to have, there are numerous ways to do it, and lots of advice to be had. I just welded mine and had the car painted. It's really easy and if your buddy has a welder it should cost about $5. Just tack the sheetmetal in place, I fully welded the decklid on mine and put too much heat to it, fucked it pretty bad, when I saw that I knew the thing to do id just tack the metal up as a backing plate for bondo. Luckily, inspite of the fact that the shop isn't the best in the world, the guy completely worked out the indentation by shrinking the metal, and it looks flawless now.

sorry to say man, but it does not look good wingless. You should have at the very least done the JB weld and plates thing... but the electrical tape on my spoiler holes is still going strong..

then again, i have a talon, so the holes are in much less obvious places.
