9417, Question about Talon taillights Posted by PlayWithFire, Oct-10-01 01:34 PM
Hey, Ive been thinking lately that id like to have clear tails on my car, but it being a talon and not an eclipse, I dont have the money to do a bumper conversion just for the lights.
I was wondering if anyone around here has, or knows anything about a way to get clear tails for the Talon (96 if that matters). I mean, is there any way to get the color off or some such? I know it probably sounds stupid ... but I really dont like the orange/red combination on my bumper.. or even if it is possible to change the orange parts of the lighting to red?
Just looking for some manual way to do this, or even if anyone knows, a place where you can get clear Talon tails. If im after a hopeless goal here please say so :)
Thanks.

You can change the orange to red with Krylon stained glass color. I colored mine red, it looked kind of funky with the green car (see pic). The color is dissapearing though, I think its washing off. Maybe I should have clear coated it. My lights are now a dim-orange (unlike the pic). I'm trying to come up with a more attractive solution.

I love your car, Corbin.
When i pay mine off (If i ever pay mine off) i'm going to try and find a black ESI for a daily driver (or maybe green like yours - close enough).. heh
