93984, Side Skirt Fender Caps
Posted by j_eclipse96, May-01-06 04:29 AM
Quick question of opinion: I bought 97-99 OEM eclipse side skirts not too long ago without fender caps. I want to put them on, and am in the process of finding fender caps. How retarded would it look to mount them without fender caps? Would it be too difficult to put on fender caps after installing the main skirt? Thanks.

It would look extremely retarded and the wind would probably rip them off at high speeds cause they would act like scoops.

Good point, didn't even think of that one. Anyone have any idea how much satan would charge for a set of fender caps?

too much...but it may be your only option. iv never heard of anyone selling them seperate used, so thats probably out of the question.

It would too much that you are better off purchasing some aftermarket ones.

Or find a junkyard/salvage place or two and maybe you'll get lucky and find one with fender caps.

I have a full Buddy Club 2 kit sitting at my house, but the skirts fit like ass (thanks ebay!), which is why I bought the 97-99 ones. I looked it up, and satan would probably want around $40 a cap, so I would rather not go that route.

I was planning on selling the BC2 skirts, but would it be possible to hack off the part that equals the fender cap? That sounds like just as much of a pain in the ass as doing the fabrication work to get the BC2 skirts to fit. Grr.

Buying skirts without fender caps didn't seem like a bad idea in hindsight :squint
