93616, New pics of the Eclipse Posted by Byron, Apr-16-06 01:55 PM
Hey guys, first time really posting my car here. I finally got my suspension on earlier this week, replaced the front rotors with some nice brembo slotted ones, and also painted the calipers, so now i'm happy with the way my car looks :) Also, i put some go-fast stickers on that I'm not sure I really like that much. I might keep them on, I might not. Heres a few pics for you guys.

The paint looks imaculate man. Good job keeping it clean. Where did you get the clear corners?

The clear corners are from ebay, they were like $15, I cant find the item though. I went ahead and sealed them off pretty well on the backside before installing, so I havent had a problem with them at all. Besides that, the paints pretty good on the car, I wash/wax it constantly, and I think the meguiar's nxt wax I got last week is absolutely amazing. Thanks for the comments :)
Actually, i'm kind of pissed, bc i just did my brakes friday and didnt realize how simple and inexpensive a gsx swap would of been until a day or two after ordering all of the parts. I still think they look a whole lot better than stocker rotors, also i painted the calipers so that helps. Anyways, I plan on doing a rear brake conversion in the late summer probably, right now i need to save some cash for college next semester :P

I couldn't help but comment again on how clean the car is, Only thing I suggest is getting the door handles and mirrors matched, and some 2gb side skirts. Other than that I think its a beautiful 2g. I'm still in shock on how perfect the paint is. Are those brand new headlight housings, because they dont look pitted at all.

Nope, i've used some meguiars microabrasive plastic polish on them and then waxed them, they have some pits but really nothing deep. On the passenger side, its been scraped by a previous owner. Besides that, i am planning on getting the above painted including the center tail light. I am just searching junkyards for a good silver eclipse first to buy them off of instead of getting it painted.

Nice and Clean. I don't think the stickers look all that bad. I've seen stickers that are 100 times worst. I think you should definately get the door handles and mirrors painted. Add the stock side skirts like someone already mentioned and also take the stock wing off and slap on a turbo wing. After you've done all that you will have one perfect eclipse.

Heh, although i really like the turbo wing, the cost of getting everything painted is just a little steep for me, but then again i might change my mind. The mirrors, door handles and center piece are definantly getting painted. Sideskirts will probably happen if I can find a good set this summer.

I definately know where your coming from. It's not cheap converting from the stock wing to the turbo one because you have to get the holes filled in and then repainted but it's definately worth it. The turbo wing gives the Eclipse a more aggresive, sporty look.
