93382, I finally have some pics of the eclipse 56k no way Posted by eclpsmoneypit95, Apr-04-06 01:15 PM
It's dirty and has a lot of orange peel from when I painted it last summer but im going to be painting it again this summer once I have time. Also, in some of the pics it looks like the kit is painted but it's not.

This picture is the main reason I wanted to post here. The blitz rear end is absolutely horrible in that it shows everything underneath the car, mainly the spare tire well. I read a while back that somebody cut out that pan and welded a peice of steel in it's place but im not sure if that worked or not. keep in mind I would retain the spare tire and mount it higher. I know that would cut down on trunk space and besides, I dont have a huge system to put back there anyway, nor do I intend to do that. Any ideas? Maybe some sort of plate painted black to cover everything up instead? Oh and btw, im not going back to stock so dont try convincing me.
 Shiny. Metallic Charcoal Grey

Wow, a little rough around the edges, but damn I love the look of your car.
...and I hate kitted cars.
Looks like you have a few fitmit issues w/ the body kit but you can fix that with a saturday's hard work.
Get the kit painted as well as the tail light center section and it will be nice. I love the wingless look.
Just switch the tails back to stock w/ the painted center section and get some reverse lights and you'll be in business.

You could paint the spare tire well black.
Mine has some red overspray on it... whoops!

Yes I was. Gonna be there again in May.
The kit is actually from extremedimensions.com. Fitment of the front and sides is really good for a poly kit but the rear is pretty bad. I dont care too much for fiberglass kits because I drive my car every day and I like it lowered which doesnt mesh well with fiberglass. Ill post more pics late this summer when it has been repainted. Personally, I dont think it looks too bad. It was my first time painting a car and now that ive had some practice, the next time around will look much better.
