i figured so. i was just trying to get an idea for a local who just got a eclipse with a s15 front end conversion. silvia front headlights look really good on the 2gnt...

im not a big fan of conversions but so far aside from the supra iv seen rsx and s2k tails. probably a couple others that iv forgotten
as far as s15 headlights...i think someone has done it before. it would be a nice compliment to a car with a boxier/edgier kit on it...but i think it would be too edgy in a stock dsm.

Best conversion EVER! is a 95/96 to 97/99 conversion, or talon to eclipse conversion.
Other car's taillights were made for their cars!!!!

93360, RE: Clean tail light conversions Posted by eclipse982nrRST, Apr-03-06 02:43 PM
ya, the g35's look okay but he doesnt want to go that extreme i guess.
he was talking about possibly 2gen rx-7 tails possibly.

He's a small pic of an eclipse with the rx-7 tails.

I saw this car in person at the Hot Import Nights in Atlantic City. The RX-7 tails look ok but I think the Eclipse rear is too big for the lights.

It's an s2000 conversion.

a good conversion is when you take off them gay ass altezzas and put on the normal stock ones or the ones with the yellow corners

That was productive. He doesn't even have altezzas.
And they're AMBER corners. NOT yellow.

Its his typical answer. Let it go and move on... nothing you can do here. He's the ghost poster. He comes in once every couple weeks and makes an asinine useless comment in every post on the 1st page in every topic. lol.
this is one of the better ones!

you guys are basically reading into this too much. other than the supra lights the other ones dont look all that well with the car. im talking from a design standpoint. you can slap on any kind you want, but it doesnt mean itll be good looking. you want to match the overall lines of the car's design. im a fan of the supra tails because they look like they match the 2nd gen. the supra itself has similar angles, radii(thats plural of the word radius if u didnt know) and general shapes so the tails work. all i was saying is that i personally dont like tail light conversions other than the supra ones or the amber corners. you had to go and start assuming things and making posts about something youve got no idea. now ive gotta write this explanation. dont bother with trying to make me look stupid or making funny replies, its not worth anyone's time. this isnt bash dot org, just let it go, flamers

The taillights themselves look pretty good, it's that fugly Bomex (or w/e) rear that fucks it up in my opinion.
Edit- Do it Foose style and hack up that rear to make something of your own out of it.

Peace, I like the S2000's tail conversion the most so far... I recently purchased a used set myself to do the conversion, but because my 2G is my DD, I don't have the "down time" to get into the conversion... If you wouldn't mind, may you hit me up with a few pointers or things I should know that you've come across in the process? So that I can save some time myself, when I get into it that is...
I'm mainly concerned with how you installed the tail lights into the chassis, did you use custom brackets? The other concern is how did you fab. the center tail light to mold around and fill in the gaps around the S2000's tails...
