after all the crap i have put up with in my eclipse i thought i would go back to basics.
so
1968 mustang 289cu in 4 barrel
automatic tranny making a whopping 220crank hp
it handles like crap isnt near as fast as the eclipse and stops sometimes but i love her

I've been helping my friend build his 67 fastback for the past year and a half.
He bought his from an old guy in Texas and it was in aweomse shape, had a fresh rebuilt 289 in it with under 6000 miles and the paint interior was great shap. He got it home and took it for a ride to get gas and came back and said it doesnt brake, it doesnt steer, and it sure dont handle, lets start taking it apart.
Right now he has the Elanore replica kit only better. He pieced together the front and rear susupension/brakes/engine set up and it is going to be nast, plain nasty. Coilovers front and rear, SSBC disk brakes front and rear, A 302 that made close to 500 HP on the engine stand. Right now he just has some odd/ends to work out and it's getting full exhaust done right now at a local speed shop.
I have posted pics on BO this past summer but it has came a long ways since then.
He has a motor to sell you! That rebuilt 289 with an auto tranny all rebuilt with a nice elderbrock(sp?) intake and carb. He'd sell it to you for peanuts for what it's worth. PM me if your interested.

no eclipse is still at the tranny shop waiting for my quaife to come in
i dont think i am going to go far into motor work
getting rid of the factory carb and putting in a edelbrock intake and carb is probably the farthest i will go
i am going to try to get it as close to original as possible well ok the factory am radio has got to go
