9302, RE: Cost of painting body kit Posted by eclipse804, Oct-09-01 10:10 AM Paint and install is typically 750 using PPG paint. The eclipse is harder to install a kit on so it's more. Just paint only would be about 550 I think...but of course you could find a cheap place like Maaco to do the whole thing for 300 bucks... | |

9306, RE: Cost of painting body kit Posted by 1TuffRS, Oct-09-01 11:12 AM Thanks, when I took my car to the body shop to repair the damage that asshole did to it, looks brand new by the way and it only took them one day dropped it off thurs morning and it was ready by fri afternoon, I asked them how much it would be to paint the mirrors and door handles and they quoted $250 basically they said removing the door handles would be a bitch and that would be the cost of labor. | |

9307, RE: Cost of painting body kit Posted by eclipse804, Oct-09-01 11:19 AM Yup its a real PAIN to get the door handle and lock off so you can remove that black plastic trim around it...takes about an hour to get off, and up to two hours to get back on correctly... | |

9308, RE: Cost of painting body kit Posted by vegastoy, Oct-09-01 12:20 PM it depends on how good of job you want on your car...my paint job including the whole car and installing the body kit and painting it to a show quality was like 3000.00 but it all depends on what you want it to look like. with my paint job they painted everything, like the insides on the bottom of the doors and stuff like that........ | |

9311, RE: Cost of painting body kit Posted by eclipse804, Oct-09-01 01:22 PM I;m not sure exactly what you are asking, but you should install the body kit before you paint it. Get PPG paint, or some people like Dupont. They both make all the factory colors, and are good quality paints... | |
