I just picked up some wheels for my ride, and the lips on all 4 need polishing. any tips you guys can give..? Id also appreciate it if anyone could post up some write ups if you have any..? or if youve seen any...? thanks in advance.

Wouldn't this be bad for the differential? And NOT SAFE at all?

What if you happen to have a LSD?

I'm just saying that even though that's a great idea, it's not safe, I would not try it. If I were, I'd have the entire front on stands, just don't put as much pressure on the wheel.

Or... you could hand sand them and use a buffer, yes it will be a pain in the ass.


That method (as written) does not get my seal of approval... with revision (both sides lifted up) would.

You first need to strip it down with some aircraft stripper. Don't try to retain the paint on it and then sand the lip down.

To get a nice shine, use a fine steel wool.
