92872, wondering what to do Posted by bloodyangel1, Mar-11-06 12:33 PM
Well, ive come to the decision that i am going to use my tax return and perhaps a small loan from the bank, to get some new ground effects, a paint job and some rims, but i am having trouble deciding on what to get. I have blitz on there now, and for the most part, i like it, except for the high side skirts i have molded in, i do like the low rise ones better, but if I do get new ground effects, should i stick with blitz?
I know most of you will probably say get something better, they are played out, even though ive had the same kit on for almost 3 years, or to do a 97-99 conversion, and thats the main thing, i am actually thinking about doing the conversion instead of getting ground effects. Now dont get me wrong, i love the way ground effects look, especially when lowered, but so do the 97-99 body style. Ugh, this is so complicated, and i dont want to spend over 350-400 on the body, and ebay has kits around that price, but ive heard they aint the best of kits either.
Does anyone have good experience from ebay kits? if so, who did you buy from? and whats everyones opinion on what I should do?

if i had to spend the money out of pocket instead of insurance (which was why i got my kit), i would have done the stock 97-99 side skirts, fill in the 3 piece wing holes, add a turbo spoiler, oem carbon fiber hood, and some rimes. that would be the only cosmetic modifications i would have done. but hey, i like kits too but our cars really don't need them.

its so tough, i look at cars with kits, and they look awesome, well some of them anyways, then i look at the stock 97-99, and they look awesome too, its so hard damnit. i mean i like the attention i get from my kit since most people have stock bodys, so thats a plus...i guess im leaning more towards a kit, i dunno

think of the money you'll save that can go towards go fast mods :) that's a plus too!

But just like your sig says bro ^^^ "we all have the inner ricer thats dying to come out" and i think we all deserve atleast some "rice" to quench the thirst of that demon withing. i got basically a stock car, but im working on the body because its just not pleasing to me to drive a car i dont like the looks of (btw im doing full 2gb conversion, turbo wing, and sideskrts) after that is done, i will continue adding to my engine. sounds backwards to some but its the most gratifying to me.
Let the modding continue :thumbsup

i think im getting the kit. i have done a good bit of go fast mods, main thing being the built head by ert, so not much else i can do. i got a P&P intake mani coming in a week or 2 from ert, so thats another engine mod, plus the body will be done, it needs it btw, and my 14" rims just aint cutting it -lol-
