92822, What's the best way to remove OEM Side Skirts?
Posted by Jem09, Mar-08-06 08:58 AM
Peace,
I'd like to know, what would be the best/safest way to remove the OEM Side Skirts? The side skirts itself and the "end cap"... I know how to remove the door cap... I don't want to damage the other parts tryin' to remove it, I'm tryin' to prevent breakin' any clips and what not... It's somewhat difficult to look underneath to view the bottom of the side skirt because the car is in a junk yard and is bein' supported on tires that are placed underneath hubs...

Good lookin' out in advance...

Peace,
Jem

The sideskirts have bolts underneath the car, same with the end cap. I doubt you can get them off without jacking it up. Get yourself a jack and life it some...and just unbolt the bottom bolts, unbolt any bolts you see that could be holding it in the fender wells....then pull em off. THey might stick a tad, right where the top oif the skirt meets the car there is a glue sometimes that the dealer uses to hold them on...you just have to work it off, you'll see.

Yup pretty much what he said. Mine came with no glue ont he skirts them selves, so it was a matter of just unbolting them. My car also has a 2" drop and I did not need to raise it any to reach the bolts.
