Hey i want to install my oil presure gauge, and the tech webpage that used to have it, is down can anybody assist me thanks :-)

Also with the fuel cut defender.. What do i need to bypass it.

Did you buy a mechanical or electric gauge? I always get mechanical so I'm not familiar with the electrical one.
If it's a mechanical, all you need to do is remove your oil pressure sending unit on the back of your block, the one closest to the tranny, and install the supplied adapter that should come with your gauge. The gauge should also come with directions. The rest is all pretty straight forward, imo.
Oh yeah, the oil pressure sending will require a special 1 and 1/16" sensor socket tool to remove it. Or, if you're not going to ever re-use the sensor, then you can break off the plastic connector after removing the harness, then use a normal 1 and 1/16" socket.

What about electrical gauges? Do you have to have a sending unit for them?

Yes. It comes with the gauge. And just to prevent this already unresearched thread from going much further...

Just so we're all clear on this subject - the can is the sending unit for the electrical guage. All you do is run one wire from the nut on the right side of the picture in to the gauge. If you had a mechanical gauge, you would run the hose from the spot the can bolts to the rest of that shit.

It's only that big so there is a t-fitting for a future turbo oil-feed line (the left end of the T).

I would say go with the electrical gauge, IMO it's A LOT easier to work with, just run one wire to the sender and *poof*, done with that. Well, I guess besides hooking up the usual power,ground, and light power and grounds, that's it.

EDIT, DR1665, that is beautiful.

Another thing to add is mounting the sender on the block vs. on the firewall. Sendors do not like too much vibration, and seem to crap out a lot faster when mounted directly onto the block vs. somewhere on the firewall. I personally run a ss line from my head to my sender which is mounted on my firewall, and then a wire to my gauge. Just something to think about.
