Well the time has come that I'm ready to change it up a bit. I'm looking for some pics of two toned eclipses, to get an idea of where to start and end the colors, heres a shitty photochop of what I'm thinking but some real cars would be great, I'm hoping to put it in a booth in the next 2 weeks.

How about getting a CF hatch, and have someone make you an overlay for the roof?

Oh well. Haven't seen too many two toners.

because that wouldnt help me with my fenders, doors and rear quareters =) i think im going to end up painting the majority of the hood black too, so it will flow better. Also im not a huge fan of the hatches just yet, they dont seem very well made IMO but i haven't really been up close to one yet.

are you gonna match the mirrors too? it looks like a deep maroon which would be pretty cool.

I was thinking of doing the same thing. Maybe black up top and that 99 mustang blue/purple color. Two tone is where its at. Come on guys find some pics and post em up for us. If anyone is good with photoshop, let me know i'll send some pics. Glad you started this thread R34.

yeah that would look good on your car. I had a picture from awhile ago, but it was just a red talon with the normal black hatch, hood, and roof. Ill see if i cant find it, maybe it will give you a better idea.

no i dont want talon style i've seen it in my color before, i want the fenders doors and all to be black. Car is scheduled to be painted soon with a def. pattern now. I will be from the tip of the point on the fenders to the bottom edge of the wing on the rear quarters. Bottom will be the stock maroon with slightly more metallics in the paint top will be black with a red flake and possibly red pearl, depends on if i think thats too much in the roof, but still any pics would be great

as far as two tone i like basically a black top and colored bottom, like maybe your red or something, just my opinion

Myke thanks they're my second set my old 18s dont compare to the look they give the car, the wheel wells are too small in my opinion for 18s unless you have thick tires, and I'm not so far into performance to care about the weight

Shocka - No the wing stays =) I've had it off before when it got painted the first time and yes it looked clean but also it looks like something is missing, I really love the turbo wing but it always makes the back end look jacked up with kits, if i had a stock rear i would have one in a heart beat.

I dont really dig the wingless look on the 2g eclipse, but for some reason it looks hott on my 2gb Talon.

Wingless 1g's look like ass.

Your first picture(photoshop) looks sweet. When I read the title I thought I wouldnt like what I saw.

DR1665 was this the one your thinking of?

If it was me I would do a darker burgandy on the top and the red you have now on the bottom. I would keep the lines from your hood and not paint on the fenders. basically the same lines as the talons do. That is what I plan to do. A dark gunmetal up top and solid silver down on the bottom.

Yea I seen a pic of a 3000gt with a similar scheme and Driggs chopped that for me a while back. I'm still thinking of doing something 2 tone also. In Hawaii I seen this chicks eclipse all Minden silver pearl (stock color) and all black hood roof and trunk. I totally fell in love with it and will probably end up with something like that.

I'm not big on wingless, but both of those two tone cars look great wingless, especially the black/white one. The back view of the black and white one is one of the cleanest and nicest looking rears I've ever seen on an eclipse
