Well I just didnt like how my carbonfiber hood looked, I just thought it needed some color. So I took some pin striping I had laying around and make some graphics that I thought looked pretty cool so I just taped the hood off and went at it with some paint I had left over from my front bumper when I re-did it. I know most of you wont like the look of it, but when the bumper is on and the hood it shut, it looks pretty sweet and I just happen to like it very much. I will take your comments to see what you guys think although I bet a lot of you will talk down on it, lol....

i knew that was coming from someone, lol.

i just wanted something on there and i didnt want anything too extreme or too plain ya know. so i went with the normal flames, flames usually never look too bad...

i will post some bigger pics tomorrow but like i said when the hood is closed and shut, and with the bumper on, i think it looks amazing personally. i know only muscle cars have flames, but like i said before, i like being different as you can tell with the widebody, etc...

i knew no one on here would like them, but i just wanted to show what ive been up to lately i guess.

to be honest i hate flames, although my friend has them on his 300z tt, and they look amazing, black, fade to blue, on a black car, I'll wait till i see pics with the bumper on and all before I judge yours, but to each his own, There is a red eclipse around here with a dif shade of red pearl for the flames, and you can only see them occasionaly, not too bad, but still not my thing.

I am not the craziest about flames. But one of my good friends has a white eclipse rs-t hahn stage II and it has flames on the front. He used three different color blue's and faded it back to the hood. I must admit that it looks damn good. I wish I could get a picture real quick.

I think if you had maybe continued the flames all the way up the sides of the hood it would look better. Basically the CF would be in the middle then. Look blended into the paint on the fenders instead of an abrupt change from hood to fender.

Im not a big flame fan but I guess that is me...I dont really like a lot stickers, graphics (painted or vinyl), or other things like that but there are a few that can make it work, we will just have to see what it look like when u have it on your car.

My only though is flames need to have an originating point......just coming from the front of the hood is really not the place. Though I would really like to see the "mounted" pics just in case.

flames are pretty cool though, i love to paint them on muscle cars and custom trucks and stuff. here's the nova i flamed awhile ago....flames were dropshadowed with the air brush and hand pinstriped.

masking flames is tedious as hell....








and the miata....not my choice of colors but it's what the owner wanted...
