90824, removing interior paint Posted by 96rs-t, Nov-20-05 02:42 PM
I'm trying to remove some flaking paint off my door panels that the previous owner did. I used acetone on a small part, but it seems to be effecting the vinyl part of it. These are the GS skins. I'm wondering what i should use to take off the paint without damaging the vinyl or plastic?

if its flaking off . you might be able to take it of by scrubbing with prep solvent

we use acetone at my work, it doesnt always get it all the way off but it will get the most off easy enough, then paint over it, it will probably turn the original material white but theres really no other way to get it off the vinyl. ----------------------------------- 97 RS-T, STAR Stage 2, HAHN FMIC, Decah Lambo Doors, 19" Axis Hiros, Built 420a -----------------------------------
