After being a 2gnt member for over a year I finally got off of my lazy ass and decided to take some pics of my car. It's a 96 GS 5-speed that I have been fixing slowly. It has come a long way since I purchased it two years ago in stock form with a crashed bumper and fender. I know it still needs a lot work but i'm finally happy with the way it looks. Before anyone points it out, I know that I need to change the rear bumper but I just haven't decided on what rear to go with yet. And I will also be switching the rim color soon to either gunmetal or bronze. I bought the rims already painted black and was too lazy to repaint them. :+

looks good :thumbsup I'd lose the tail light covers though...that would improve the rear a lot!

I bought them off of ebay. I'm not sure if this is the same seller I bought them from but these are the same headlights and the price is better than what I got them for.

Wow. I didn't think everyone was gonna hate the tail light covers so much. I was kind of uncertain about putting them on in the first place but the rear lights looked wierd when I put the turbo wing on that's why I put the covers on. I figured they were better than altezza's. And, I know the skirts would look better molded but i'm not looking to put crazy amounts of money into my car. I think that after I decide on what rear to go with i'm gonna stop putting money into the Eclipse and get a truck.

Oh, and the sig pic is different because I was too lazy to take pics of my car when I became a member on here so I used that pic of an eclipse I found on the web to make my sig. I will be changing it shortly now that I have pics of my own car. :thumbsup

how do you like those headlights?? Can you see anything at all at night? Do you have HID lights? What about the brights, how do they compare to stock?

Thx, I like the car, but I've really been thinking about those head lights.

I've got them. They're ok. I have some MTEC H3's in them and they're so-so. About the same if not less than stock output.

The pic works now. I'd keep the tails stock in my opinion.

Tint the tails, would match much better then those cover things.

Yeah I didn't see it mentioned so thought I would throw it out there. Tinting or smoking them would look much cleaner, but smoking requires alot more effort. lol. :D

Forgot to mention, props on the car, looks nice. Needs some bigger rims though!

Yeah. I was gonna save up and get some 18" or 19" chrome rims but I finally decided it's time to save for a truck. It's not easy getting around with the wife and kids in a 4-door honda.

Oh man I could imagine. Lucky for me I ain't there yet. Keeping the eclipse for weekend fun? lol.

what kinda chin spoiler is that? and i don't mind those tail covers it goes with the car pretty well, everythings all black might as well make those black too right?


oh and also flyinesi, i'll trade u headlights straight up if u want haha i dont know if u like mine as much but they are also ebay brand! The quality of light isn't as great mainly because of how it gets dispersed. With stock lights you've got all those weird angles and reflections and crap, but with ebay lights its just a bulb pointing in the general direction. I can still see perfectly find it's just not as concentrated. Also u might have trouble passing inspection because they are not SAE certified.

No thanks dude, I'm not looking for dual projectors. just tossing around the idea of a projector headlight with a HID bulb.

I couldn't decide at the time whether to get the Ralliart or the RSDSM lip but I decided to go with the Ralliart one because the material is made of a flexible rubber plastic. A lot of people say the RSDSM lip breaks easy. I can pretty much hit my chin spoiler with anything and it won't break.

The headlights are ok. I had to pretty much outline the whole headlight with black silicon because they kept getting foggy inside everytime it rained. The light output is pretty good. I have silverstar bulbs which produces a light whiter and brighter than stock. The best advice that I can give you on the headlights is that whatever decision you make stay away from the halo projectors. I have a 4-door civic with halo projectors and three of the halos burned out within the first 2 months. That's why I didn't get them for the Eclipse. Honestly, if you have the money you should just retrofit HID's in your stock headlights.

Looks solid, the only thing I see is that the doors need finishing to go well with the rest of the kit. Thumbs up!

Nice front lip, I used to have one on my car... along with a full coilover system with a 3" drop. With that lip the front of the car was literally an inch off the ground and I couldn't drive the car hardly anywhere without scraping. I was meaning to take it off and ditch it, but instead, my lip got into a fierce battle with a rock in the road and the rock kicked its ass. Tore the urethane lip in half. In other words, BE CAREFUL AND WATCH OUT FOR ROCKS!

Wow. That must have been one mean rock because I have hit lots of stuff already and the lip still looks brand new. You must have been driving pretty fast to rip the lip in half. :nono
