I need to find a hood for my eclipse that is a cowl type. my exhaust manifold just hits mine. Damn 2.4 had to be an inch taller :(

vis started making an ss style but i dont think it would help i think the raised part is too far back.

Summit Racing sells those hoods pictured above on that site extreme...

Maybe an idea too, get the vis evo hood and cut out the piece thats under the top vent of the hood, that would alow for an inch or 2 i bet.

That one hood is a bit fugly but I e-mailed the company for some more detailed pictures and measurements. The evo hood Idea sounds liek a plan. Could anyone give me some measurements on it before I dump 500 on a hood. I need to see how far back the vent is.

seibon actually makes an evo hood that looks to be raised a little bit... go to their site and check it out it looks like on the outside of the vent its lifted, may work, just an idea.... www.seibon.com

talk to the author of this thread. He eventually went with a cowl hood on the Elmo car. Find out where he got his, but I think it was the same company mentioned above.

Elmo was his copilot!! He was cool, I remember back in the day when he used to post here.

I had the EVO hood on my car. It's basically the heighth of the hump on OEM hoods in the middle. I could sell you mine but I don't know how I would ship it.

Damn dude, I didn't know you had the same rims as me...or I bought the same ones you had??

Elmo was fucking cool as shit and I was looking for pics of how his car ended up when he repaited the whole car white and took all the elmo stuff off, it was fucking hot. I think he was one of the leaders of the 19" revolution for the eclipse.

you guys have the same rims as me! lol oh well...just means we are all cool!!!
