90557, Matching stock interior Texture?

I want to glass a couple gauges in place of the driver's side door vent. Its a good spot IMO and no air comes out of the fuckin thing anyway, so I figure it will look good and work fine. Problem is though, how can I make my glass work (will bondo over it and sand it down to get a stock appearance) resemble the stock dashboard's texture?

you could try taking a piece of vinyl with the same grain and pressing it onto the glass softly as its drying possibly?

Theres a site that sells a frame for that vent, I can't remember which one but I probably got the link off someone here. Saw it about a week ago.

Here's mine, made from a DVD case. The texture matched enough for me.

Try using a very thin layer of silicon on top of the fiberglass and press a vinyl parrtern into it.
