Alright so the panels on the sides of the center console......
Keep the lower vents or get rid of them?
And on the armrest any interest in having an sfac spot or just keep them plain cf?

side panels, i'd say get rid of em. they would look alot cleaner
armrest, i don't think i'd like a safc there. wouldn't want to have a big hole there and almost have to buy one just so it don't look goofy

Im going to say leave the vents. Many people get rid of the center vents and only use those for heat etc. Without either the air would be forced to circulate behind the hvac/center console area.

So I decided to just keep the armrest's plain.....they are not covers, they are a direct replacement.
I still have not decided on the vents yet....dj brought up a good point though...Im wondering though if it would just get pushed through the door panel vents more.

Would the armrest, since it is a replacement, work in a RS where there was no armrest before. I'm sure it doesn't come with the hinges, but would there be anything else needed to make it work. Thanks, and keep up the good work. This stuff looks incredible.

I think that's not a good decision, air will not be directed more to the door vents because there is a tube that runs down and dumps air out into the area there before the vent holes. And my feet can get really hot or cold down there, so I wouldn't want to plug the tube. And us 4g63 guys have the ECU right there.
Could maybe route the tube to the back where that space is though.

I say shave those vents before wrapping the ski jump panels. There is a huge gap near the back of that panel and they are not air tight anyways...so not a big deal. Plus have you ever had your air on full blast and feel that vent...practically nothing comes out anyways.
I say no for the SAFC...make that a special order type of thing. You know I want one of those armrest right?
BTW just let me know about that site thing and I can get you up and running in no time.

You talking about a website for him to sell this stuff? If so, I'd be willing to host him for free if he doesn't already have a host...

I'm very interested in a armrest. Think you could ballpark the price?

Mad, I dont how far you are in making your CF armrest cover, but if you need a mold made, I can send you a duplicate of mine.
As for the door panel inserts, I have those too. Heres some old pics, of course the vent can be cut out instead of a tweeter pod.

I still also have the mold for the dash aswell, if you want a duplicate. Lemme know, IM me or something DJ

edit: nvm I did some searching and found some great references for this whole carbon fiber overlay thing, which is all I really want to do.
but on topic, just a regular armrest cover would be nice, and you should definitely keep those vents if you can.
