1. Remove them from car 2. Take to professional 3. Put back on car :shrug
I don't know, but that is what I'd do to not chance ruining the look of my turbo or FMIC.

haha well I wasnt gonna do it with it on the car, lol I wanted to do it myself; I figured its just polishing the metal; just wanted to know if there was a best way and or a best product to use in doing so.
Edit, I gave one side a quick polish gonna spend quite a few hours with it for the next two weeks, and prolly post more progress pix.
As for answering my own question; using mothers mag and aluminum polish and following the label directions see:

thanks to broke off for hosting, and uber for cropping/resizing

I used Mother's Mag & Aluminum polish, apply a little, rub it good, wipe it off. It doesnt remove the tiny pits in the metal or anything great like that since Im not sanding and removing imperfections, but its definately adding quite a bit of luster to the finish.
Im sure by the end of the week I'll have the turbo ultra shiny, but the rows on the FMIC are gonna take a while, even with a dremel polishing bit.

well the mothers was only 5 bucks , Ive barely used any of it and the turbo is pretty much done. I didnt even pre-clean the FMIC and look at the difference it made.

Ya know whats easier. Get a bench grinder and buy a polishing wheel and I bought this stick of super aluminum polish.
turn the buffer and apply some polish to the wheel and BAM! no effort on your part and a super shiny finish. You could polish the whole FMIC and turbo in like an hour. :thumbsup But you did really good with what you had :thumbsup
