I'm trying to mount these gauge holders in where my bezels are but the super glue I used has this white color residue.

i think its just a reaction that the chemicals have to any surface...pretty much always turns a whitish with any plastic. you can just lightly sand it away. as far as jbweld..its a greyish...but methinks its not all that widley used on plastics...mostly metals

It will turn grey when fully cured. I'ved use it on aluminum, steel, and plastic. Get the kwik weld if you don't want to wait for it to harden.

I've had pretty good success using a clear 2-part epoxy on glueing some parts together... maybe you could try that? it's crystal clear with kinda a gloss to it
