89162, Wiring L.E.D. M3 Mirrors Posted by DanKid, Sep-16-05 10:55 AM
I did a search on installation tips but I didn't really find anything helpful. I know that the wires need to be hooked up the the turn signals in the headlights but my question is how can I run the wires to the signal wiring without taking out the headlights? Is it possible or will I need to remove the whole front bumper in order to get to the turn signal wires? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. :thumbsup

You can tap into the wiring harness (runs right dowm the driver side), make sure you use the front signals though, cause if you use the rear, the LED's will go on everytime you brake. If I can find the wiring schematic I used, I'll send it to you.

Cool. I hope you find that wiring schematic. If I can tap into that wiring harness it will save me a lot of hard work. I'll also check online to see if I can find that schematic. Either way thanks for the help. Points for you Joey. :thumbsup

Thanks for the link farmdogg but I think i'm gonna go with Joey's suggestion. If i am able to tap into the wires for the turn signals inside the car it will cut out having to run so many wires and look a lot cleaner.
