ok after 2 days of looking in the forums i have a 96 rs im switching to power windows i ebayed door skins locks and power motor and harness after reading alot still not clear i pluged every thing in and no nothing there is a fuse in the cabin fuse box and one in the engine compartmant i also read that you need both sides pluged in to work i did that installed one side mocked up the other nothing i also read that there is a relay for the locks behind the stereo that i cant find whats it look like im lost and i have one window half way up i have heard the term power window control module what is that i thought the switch was that this is what i have 2 power window motors 2 door skins w\switches 2 power door locks and 2 harnesses what did i miss and when i am done i will write a how too with pics

i dunno if you hit on it in your post, but you also need a relay for your windows as well as your locks IIRC.

p.s. this is exactly why i think the SPAL kit is MUCH easier for converting :P

im thinking the relay is supposed to be back behind the radio..next to the locks relay. maybe im wrong....i did mine with a SPAL kit...so im just quoting from memory.

Do you have to put the fuse in under the hood still with an aftermarket kit? You may have to power that relay when you find it. There is one fuse under the hood I think

i got the spal kit . it works good and is pretty easy to install . the only bad thing is the motor is kind of slow .

really? i heard the spal motors roll up the windows very quickly. Mine kit is sitting under the bed waiting for door panels.

yea i got the spal kit on my windows it does go get slower as it gets older.

now i need to buy this relay or is it just in there unpluged same for the power locks
