Ok I am just about ready to gid rid of my current wheels, I think they work with the car but are really HEAVY. I was thinking about going with some motegi 15" trak lights I can't decide between gun metal or flat black


any other suggestions are welcomed please note that I have a monarch green pearl car and I don't want any bling bling spinners or chrome s####

Sexiest wheel ever. It comes in a gun metal sort of color too.

I wouldn't even worry about wheels until you have some power under the hood. The ones you have now look great.

what color is your car?? i would get the flat black, looks better imo i have gun metal and dont really like them

Yeah, definitely get 18"s. 15" are too damn small, and yes it's a major understatement to say 15" rims look bad. I use 15" to drag, c'mon. Oh, and definitely go with darker than gunmetal rims, just my opinion tho.

Ever hear of Rays wheels? Those rims are pretty lightweight, and they are 18s, 19s, or even 20s now. They use them on race cars, for christ's sake.
Get ROTAs, even in 18" they still only weigh 20lbs, and the gain in looks and handling response is worth the 0.1 second you will lose to 60 and through the quarter mile.
You could also get AXIS Reverbs, they are hollow spoke, they are still heavy-ish but lighter then most domestic made 18 inch wheels, and they look awesome.

omg omg its not JUST ABOUT WEIGHT people, rotational mass. An 18" wheel will take longer to start and stop than a 15". Oh well keep the comments coming

15's would look kinda weird and the tire would have a pretty tall sidewall if you wanted to try and fill the wheel well at all and that would sorta give you "squirmy" handling, I'd say if you want light wheels go with 16's and 205/55's or 225/50's, the shorter and stiffer the sidewall the more stable and "sure" the car will feel, even 205/55/16's feel weird to me after driving with 225/45/17's. Also if you have stock brakes you're going to want to stay with a smaller wheel cause my car won't stop for crap with 17's and powerslot rotors and hawk pads, but with my steely 16's is does decent.

JGTC cars run 20's although very light 20's, they also have huge brakes and slicks, the bigger the wheel and tire diameter the more rubber you'll be putting on the road which means better handling. If I had the money I'd run some superlight weight 18's with 235's or larger and big brakes, but thats just a fantasy. Just something to think about.
