What should I clean the plastic parts from my interior with so the fiberglass with stick? I have holes drilled in it, and I washed it with soap and water and dried it really good, but theres a few places towards the edge where its not stuck and has air underneath it...

I used Alcohol Pads to clean my dash when i put a dash kit on it. That and 3M Automotive Adhesion Promoter and the thing doesnt budge.

After a good wax/adhesive remover/cleaner (any brand really) I like to wipe down with acetone as it also cleans and softens the plastic a little and allows some really nice adhesion. Also in some really tough pieces with maybe alot of "Armor All" build up in the crevises and what not, rather than take a chance on coating it with fiberglass and having it pull off, after cleaning it the best I can I like to spray 3 or 4 light coats "etching" primer on and let it completely dry then top coat with primer sealer. Then coat with fiberglass. I use the primer sealer over the etching primer as it holds up to fiberglass being applied (fiberglass/spot putty will pull most cheap primers right off the surface during application when "worked") and gives it a nice place to bond.Dupli-color brand of both types of primer has worked awesome on all the small pieces I have done biggest being an airbag,armrest glovebox ect ect,anything bigger I woulds use a gun to spray it on.

Also One awesome piece of equipment I get to use once and awhile for bigger pieces and will be buying shortly is a plastic media blaster. There so sweet in putting a nice dulled finish on anything prior to glassing and painting. The setup is cheap but the "media" is a little pricey. Its also cool for small pieces just becarful as it will shrink them to nothing quickly.

Anyways....just my way of prepping plastic for fiberglass.
